its been stated before in the past two days, Lavin dosent owe anything to the players on this team, outside of DJ and Paris every starting spot is wide open, don't be surprised if there are lineup changes next year

I don't think Paris has an automatic spot.  Hardy is a better scorer, I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Hardy in over Paris.

agree with everyone minus omari...we have no reason to believe omari can play point in the big east...realistically its a better option to just make boothe play with more of a gameplan...we dont need scoring from boothe, we need leadership and direction on the court...brownlee at sf and dj at sg i like...coker as the starting center i think is absolutely necessary...lavin needs to make him productive for 25-30 min a game, bc he can be a real x factor for us...having evans, hardy, omari, and horne off the bench and thats it...depth is great but using more than a 9 man rotation would be stupid...we have to find our best players and utilize them for as long as we can on the floor

I can't say i disagree with you. I love the way Hardy shoots but he is very streaky, and sometimes he has a hard time finding ways to get open and creating his own shot, I think Paris is a better all around player than Hardy

horne of last year is not guaranteed anything...hardy played much better than him in every way...if horne wants any pt he needs to get back to his soph year

hardy is a very good scorer no doubt...he just has a hard time getting open without getting an off ball screen. You also need to look at the other side of the ball. Paris usually guard the other teams top scorer. Dwight is nowehre near the defender paris is.

true, hes not gonna overpower people to the rim, and needs to play smart to get to the rim but he was a very electric player for us, and with his ability i feel like we need him on the court as much as possible, bc if hes open, that shot is prob our best scoring opportunity...defensively, yes i agree, i may be downplaying paris's defense...he showed a few lebron moments last year running down the court and blocking shots and was pretty consistent...but also, paris just needs his head on straight...him shooting 55% from ft line is just mental, and the missed ones against marquette in the big east tourny cost us the game

i agree...there were times this year when things didn't start out well for Paris (Shooting Wise) and i think he took himself out of some games mentally

Watch how Omari comes in next year. He will be the biggest surprise. I can't wait. Watch his handle.

Pg boothe
sg hardy
sf Kennedy
pf burrell
c coker

6th man Lawrence.

Hopefully, Lavin can bring in a pg to play over boothe, and allow boothe to be the backup. That would give us a shot to make the dance. Without it, I'm not sure how much this team can improve.

Evans and Horne should play 10 minutes a game. They hog the ball and they don't bring it daily, and never have.

i think Omari is going to play well for us, but i highly doubt he can play point guard in the big east

I agree 100% and that is why it's such a tough decision.  Horne's defense and hustle is one of the reasons I like him off of the bench though.  He can come in, get a steal, throw one down, pump up the crowd, etc.  But my problem with him starting that was exposed last season is he is just too inconsistent shooting the ball, doesn't draw contact when he drives, and tends to disappear for long stretches on the offensive end.  I just don't see Paris as a consistent enough scorer to be a starter on a good team.  He also can't knock down open shots, which assuming Lavin is somewhat better than Norm in creaing open shots for guys, our 2-guard will get some open looks, something Hardy converts with regularity.

im sorry man theres no way i can agree with you. I dont want to sound like an ass but have you ever played basketball at a high level? Omari is a nice player but he is not even close to being a point guard. He can be an off point guard but he doesnt have the ball handling skills, especially under pressure to be a point. He tends to get anxious when under pressure which is the worst thing to do as a point guard. That usualy turns into turnovers. He cant run the "ship." He is just fine playing the 2 or 3. The point is for the maliks
