It was a prerecorded interview I'll have to get the cut and post it here. I wound up going on air for a bit too. I'll let pinstripes recap a bit when he logs on.

Yea i spoke with him at the introductory press conference. He is a great guy, loves to talk and he just explains everything.

Norm was never on, they technically are not allowed on the radio so we have to pre record stuff, edit then put it on.

But we have spoken with all of them, its a very fortunate position.

It's just the policy that Mark Fratto and the school enforce. It sucks we have tried to get players and coaches up but it was never allowed so we always did pre recorded interviews

That might be the dumbest rule I have ever heard.  What kind of a school has a radio station and doesn't allow it's biggest stars to be featured on it.  How can the radio guys like yourself improve if you aren't allowed to practice your skills on our coaches and athletes?  This school amazes me more each day.  ::)

Mark is a good guy and he has a very tough job. There is certain criteria you need to meet in order to be credentialed for media stuff. It would be great to see WSJU hurdle the obstacles standing in the way of interviewing players and coaches.

I'd approach him and ask him what you need to do in order to achieve live radio opportunities. He might not give you the answer you want to hear right away but he'll listen. He certainly thinks outside the box hence credentialing a tweeter!
