it seems dunlop doesnt want to come here. there are 2 question 1. why hasnt he gotten a head coaching job with his resume and 2. why doesnt he want to coach here

1. Cause the brother is in his 50s and he shootin fo the moon. He goin fo top flight coaching spots when he gots to prove hisself at a mid-major spot first. 

2. Cant get down on a brother fo tryin fo a head spot over an asst spot.

he wants to be a head coach, and he wants to be close to home...if he comes as a last resort, cool, let him, he'll be pissed off and bring a fire to prove himself as the best assistant in the country to get a head coaching job

It looks like Dunlap would be here a year, not more.

I think that there are assistant coaches who want to be Head Coaches.

And I think that there are assistant coaches who desperately want to be Head Coaches.

The Mayor's hire is a desperation move. He has management experience but no coaching experience... at least he has some experience in a front office unlike Mark Jackson, who some wanted. 

This will be interesting to watch for all the fans who like the idea of hiring one of their most storied players as head basketball coach.  Can a guy jump to the highest levels of college coaching without direct experience?
