A comparison of Dwight Hardy and Paris Horne that will make Carmine feel a little justified in his defense of Hilton.

It feels great to read and post on the site again. Holy moly I had withdrawals over the past week.

Good article Peter, both players bring something different to the table.  Offensively, i think Hardy is clearly the better option.  In simple terms since they have similar FG and 3pt %:

           Mins   PTS
Hardy   644     304
Horne   928     303

However, Horne is a capable defender, and there is no way to quantify that difference.

Last year - and last year alone - note that hardy took a FAR higher percentage of shots while on the floor to get to that point.  I think Hardy can be the better scoring option - the ability of Hardy to squeeze off that many shots is a skill. But Horne was the slightly more efficient option in conference play.  And in truth - and sorry if this is harsh to the players - it means they BOTH need to improve.

Hardy needs to hit the weight room hard. He wasn't strong enough to finish drives last year.
He would do a very good job getting in the lane, and then blow the layup.
