Baldi on point, as usual

I just think that would be in bad taste if Rob's scholarship was dropped. The only way I see that happening is if they give him a scholarship to continue school and he doesn't play ball.

Stalking has been very good way to gather information lately.

He hasnt played ball in years. Thomas is a great story, they might think its time to move on though

Huge difference between a  9 minute per game soph-to-be being nudged (Omari), and a 7 minute per game redshirt Senior-to-be (Thomas).  You don't move a kid that's been loyal for 5 years to the program, unless HE wants to go...and it's doubtful Thomas has illusions after what he's been thru of being a major contributor somewhere else with his final year of eligibility, after sitting out a transfer year.  By the way, not fully clear on the rule - did he fall under the old partial qualifier rules, or did he still have only 5 seasons to play 4 (meaning he HAS to play THIS season - making a transfer to another Div 1 school impossible)?

Not happy with the Omari news at all. I thought he could have beena  big par of our future success.  He can do a little bit of everything. 

I'm not sure how this will affect our upcoming season.  I thought he had a good chance to start next year.

OK, I guess thats why Omari's leaving

I think ultimately it was a matter of playing time. Whether he has to jump Horne, Hardy, DJ or Boothe, Stith his minutes were limited. Throw in Quincy Roberts and Lavin's first born Polee its very limited.

Then his PT opens up next season or does it? What if Lavin recruits over him? Then all of a sudden his career is cut short to his expectations.

It sucks but I can see why he did it.

maybe it was just lavin didnt want him...lavin wants a start fresh...we know a big plus for him in making the decision to take the job was 9 scholies...he probably liked the fact that he would be able to have a team of basically all his own guys from very early on...if he didnt like omaris game then obviously he wouldnt want him on his team for 3 years when he feels he can recruit with the big boys...it sucks to see a kid transfer from a spot he def wanted to be in since hs, but such is life...im sure there will be plenty of schools thatll be happy to add him...and he'lll get a year to just train and get better

I wish Omari all the best.  I think he could have had a good career here but I can see why both sides would decide to part ways.  Hopefully he finds a new home and has some success.  With that being said lets hope this means that Lavin will land Remi Barry !

Well, they offered him before he signed with St. Johns.  I think Book Richardson is still pretty high on him....
