Dunlap still considering options?

Mike Dunlap, another member of Kent’s staff at Oregon, said Tuesday he was still considering his options for employment.

Dunlap had a clause in his contract that required the university to release him and pay him for next season if Kent was fired. Dunlap is due to receive $400,000 from the university even if he takes another job for next season.

With wide-ranging experience that includes work in the NBA and as an assistant and head coach in college, Dunlap would seem likely to have several opportunities. It was reported in April by New York media that he was likely to be an assistant on the St. John’s staff of Steve Lavin, and Dunlap said Tuesday that was still a possibility.
When you're a kid from New York and you do it in New York, that lasts forever!

I don't like the sound of that... I really think he would be a huge get and really hope he decides to take the job.  I guess we just sit and wait.

Are there any job openings left for Dunlap to pursue? Maybe he would like to be an assistant Varsity coach too?

He gets paid 400k next year no matter what he decides.  I don't blame him for looking for an ideal situation. I'd do the same and so would you.

if he comes is he just gonna jump ship first chance he gets? doesnt really seem like he wants to be here...it doesnt take a month to dot the i's and cross the t's, or even to explore ALL your options...he's basically hanging around till the absolute last moment to see if ANYTHING else comes up...and im sure lavin has a short list to fill the position if dunlap doesnt come, but this is getting stale...its been a month and we dont have our top assistant yet
