NTSG - I'm assuming you've seen Sledge play, what's your opinion of him?  I've only seen him beat up on crappy Long Island teams but curious how he looks in AAU.  Kind of suprised he is staying at HHHW while Tyler goes to St. Bens.  Thought they were kind of a package.

In a nutshell, he's a short, quick pg, who can't shoot (right now, Malik Boothesque) and gambles on defense (because of his recovery speed). Against elite point guards, he looks like an also-ran.  If Lavin misses on every other pg, we'll need him.

he is a really good finisher though and damn, hes one of the fastest point guards I've ever seen.

West Virginia is no longer involved with Long Island PG Tavon Sledge, sources say. He's down to SJU, UTEP & Iowa State

PG Tavon Sledge is down to three schools, not two: St. John's, Iowa State and Utep."He really likes St. John's," advisor Michael Moore said

Is apparently making his decision today.  It's between St. John's, UTEP and Iowa State.

According to Zach Braziller of the NY Post

Don't feel like we were ever recruiting him that hard after the skills camp.

Good luck to him...

From our standpoint, it's getting a little thin with THarpe, Lindsey, and to a certain extent Harrison (if he can play the point) being realistic, capable pg options.

That being said, Lavin has a plan and it will all work out.
