BTW-According to Neal Nieves looks like he is headed to San Diego St.  Steve Fisher is turning SDSU into the UNLV of the 80's and early 90's.

Another arguement in the case for giving a college hoops coach TIME to succeed.     Steve Fisher's record at San Diego State his first 6 seasons:  5-23; 14-14; 21-12; 16-14; 14-16; 11-18.  What are the odds TODAY of a coach being retained after those 6 seasons?  Since then:  24-9; 20-13; 26-10; 25-9; last year 34-2.....

Well, it DID help that Fisher had an NCAA Championship, an NCAA tourney 2nd place finish, an Elite 8, an NIT championship, and 5 seasons of 24 or more wins on his resume BEFORE he was hired at SDSU!   :)

Per Zags....

Hearing that Jabari Brown, who left Oregon, is considering 3 or 4 schools and nothing is done yet.

Anyone see a pattern here.  First Pollee, then Pelle may be considering SDS, and now Brown?  Do you think something dirty is going on here?  Why are all these players flocking there.  It is obvious that SDS is having contact with these kids.  I hope they get exposed for what they are doing.

Wow!  I can't believe that I'm pratically in agreement.  It may not be a coaching staff member from San Diego State, but there is probably a runner who is making some sort of contact.

Or they're playing the game like football recruiters in the SEC - never over until it's over - and then it's not over.  But yes MJ, SDSU reaches out immediately and receives and open ear in almost all of these cases.  That means they're trying everything they can. Plus, Fisher leands some credibility to the players.

I have it from a good source that it is a member of the staff who will be getting himself and the program in a bit of trouble before long.

Wow!  IMO, that is even worse than having a runner do their leg, er, dirty work.  You can, at least, have clean hands with a runner.  You can't do that with a member from the staff.
