Cuffe, Team 914 miss out on championship

Apparently he's been playing in Venezuela

It was a memorable, if not successful night for Kyle Cuffe and his Team 914 mates. The squad lost in the Entertainers Basketball Classic at Rucker Park on Thursday night and then had to zoom uptown to Dyckman in Washington Heights for that tournament’s championship.

The Dyckman title game against TnP was cut short in the second half due to a skirmish in the crowd that caused fans and players alike to run from the park. Perhaps it was a blessing in disguise for 914, which was down 33-31 with 17:01 left. Cuffe, 28, said he hasn’t played back to back games that quickly since AAU tournaments in high school.

When you're a kid from New York and you do it in New York, that lasts forever!

We may not currently have the NBA pipeline that UConn, Syracuse, or Georgetown enjoy, but, hopefully, Lavin will reconnect our version of pro players with the program.

As for the "skirmish," I heard that shots were fired at that Dyckman game.

I never went to any of these summer games but I always wanted to. Is it worth it? I'd love to see some former players.

At first I thought that was kind of funny until NTSG mentioned about shots being fired. Damn that's just crazy and unfortunate
