How have you come to that conclusion without seeing what happens on the court first.

firelavin.com?

What a load of crap this thread is.
We'll see how Mike Rice does this year.

So far, Lavin has only added top 100 talent. So what if he has less top 100 players than Rice right now?

Rice also has a lot of filler coming in as well. Athlon has him coming in last behind yep, Depaul.

Ouch.

You have 15 posts on this site and just looking them over I'm not sure how many of them have any value.  Most are complaining about a recruit picking another school.  One of which was Harkless that Norm struck out on and then Lavin came in and got him.  Yet a week after suggesting Lavin wear a replica Louie sweater you know firmly on board the Mike Rice bandwagon.

Don't know what else to say but the 15 posts have sure run the gamut.

I'm going on record predicting that Mike Rice will have less wins against the top
100 RPI than Norm Roberts did in his first season as head coach here.

Geez, wait until the first exhibition game before ranting about the "choices."

Personally, I think both schools made very good choices.  It's not one vs the other.

I think FOrdham fcked up big hiring Pecora and not Rice. I think they could have had him

Fordham might be better than Rutgers next year.

I think both coaches have done a fantastic job so far at the helm. I'm more surprised at the success that Rice has had at Rutgers because I truly feel they are a tougher sell but I'm happy for them. I don't think this hinders our success what so ever. The NJ State school is pulling NJ players (playaz) and they should. We're going national and that's exciting.

Any chance you can get the video of him paintballing all the employees at the rival agency?  haha.  I love that scene.  Would love to do that at my office!

I think both schools did well. Time will tell in the end based on future recruiting and most importantly on the court success.

Dave, in all seriousness, how is Rutgers a tougher sell?

If I was a player with aspirations of playing in the NBA I would pick our HC and our staff everyday and twice on Sunday.

Rutgers doesn't have much of an nba legacy, but they have a well rounded college campus, good academics and a quality football program to keep them in the news b4 bball season.

As far as coaches go, Lavin is a no brainer in my book.

No NYC, No MSG, No History (i.e. 7th winning-est team all-time, Mullin, Berry, Jackson etc.)

Is Dahntay Jones still in the NBA? If so, that would give Rutgers the nod as alumni in the NBA

Their basketball facilities are God awful, they have absolutely no tradition, no pro's, and the town looks like a frat house exploded on it.
