expecting Nerlens Noel & Goodluck Okonoboh for Late Night Madness as well

The trio includes Michael Chandler, a 6-10 center from Indianapolis; Ryan Boatright, a 6-1 point guard from Aurora, Ill.; and Tyler Harris, a 6-7 forward from Dix Hills, N.Y. All three players are being recruited at the highest level. Chandler is the 27th-rated senior in the country, according to ESPN.com. Boatright is 36th and Harris 74th on the same list.

Chandler, who attends Lawrence North High, verbally committed to Louisville in January 2009 but is now open and has named a top four of PC, West Virginia, Kentucky and Indiana. Boatright’s top picks include PC, West Virginia and Miami. Harris likes PC, North Carolina State, St. John’s and Iowa.

Boatright and Chandler loom as game-changers for Davis and the Friars. PC occasionally gets involved with highly rated prospects from New England or New York (like current frosh Gerard Coleman), but rarely in other parts of the country. What’s the difference this time?

“The biggest lure of Providence is Rodell Davis,” said Reggie Rose, the coach of an AAU team named for his brother, Chicago Bulls’ star Derrick Rose. “Boatright and Chandler saw his face everywhere all summer. That means a lot to the kids. They know Providence wants them and they have built a relationship with the coaching staff there.”

That said: St. John's already HAS two ace recruits, is hot on a number more.  But it's nice to have a bit of haterade... or a guy who some on the board can see post and think, "I'm a think the opposite of what he says."

Shurina, if Lavin really sucks somehow, you can say you were first on the hate bandwagon!  We'll get you a lollipop for that!

Wasn't Boatright about to announce any day now?  One would think that makes Providence a strong possibility.

What a joke.  We are about to get 2-3 kids to verbal by week's end and we are on pace to land a top 3 class and you are trying to compare us to Providence and SH? LOL  Wow.  Some people will never be pleased.

BTW, this is recruiting class is what national championships are made out of.  Teams that can load up on talent ranked 25-75 get to see the kids make it to their junior and senior years and really reap the benefits.  That Maryland squad is a prime example.

Not that they've won, but Purdue and Michigan State's core recruits were around the same level if memory serves.  Continuity and talent.

There'd be a million spelling errors and bad jokes in the post if it was Realfan. I'm going with briezh44.

And you guys realize that every time someone gets angry at his posts he probably starts masturbating, so it's better to ignore him than get sucked into his weird fantasies.

I never thought of it that way.
