Picked 6th by the coaches....

"Our program is pleased to be picked by the coaches to finish in the upper half of the rigorous BIG EAST Conference, yet we are also mindful that our team's success this season will be determined on the court in both the practices and games. It's vital as a team that we demonstrate a hardworking and pragmatic approach to improve in the areas of play that resulted in us finishing tied for 13th place last season." said Lavin. "We are clearly optimistic about the upcoming season and the present direction of our basketball program, but at the same time fully recognize it will be an arduous task to climb the ladder of the BIG EAST. This is a senior class that has forged a strong bond throughout their time together at St Johns and our coaching staff is committed to helping them achieve the goal of playing in the NCAA Tournament. Our team has been receptive to our teaching and is adapting well to the system of play we are implementing."
