Caging the Ivy Lion [Calm Before the Storm]
« on: November 17, 2010, 01:25:41 PM »
Tonight’s game is the home opener for the Johnnies. It is also a chance to see them in person or on online television; the Great Alaska Shootout may not have a TV feed, and the team does not return until December 1st against Wagner. The team needs to work on its offense and get that wine country taste out of their mouths; here’s hoping they’re not tired from the cross-country travel.  St. John’s hopes to rebound from the bitter taste of the East Bay against Columbia,  who look to rule the Jungle with an upset. is the team ready to take care of business in the home opener?

yea I see -18.5 huge number considering they just played across the country at an obscene hour. Game might be closer than it should be

If I were betting I would put money on Columbia.

So of course, watch them click on all cylinders and drop triple digits on the Ivy school.

Note also that Columbia held a halftime lead over LaSalle (that they lost).

It opened at 21. The money has been flowing in your favor.

I feel one of the differences between Lavin's system and Norm's system is we will start having some laughers against inferior opponents just because of the increased possessions with the speed of our possessions and the increased number of turnovers we will generate.  I wouldn't be surprised if we won by 30 or 40, jet lag is overrated.
