Shortly after St. John's posted a stunning, impressive 81-71 win at West Virginia on Wednesday night, senior forward D.J. Kennedy was asked why the Red Storm were able to remain so poised in a hostile environment.
"There's no situation we haven't faced," he said.
St. John's, 8-3 overall and 1-0 in the Big East, face another familiar scenario tonight when it plays at Providence (11-3, 0-1).
The Red Storm's senior class has won consecutive league road games only once in their four seasons, a clear indication of how soft and immature the team was. The Johnnies, pointing to their win at West Virginia, believe they have grown up and are ready to prove it again on the road.
