Johnnies, Hoyas Turn Back the Clock at the Garden[NY Daily News]

It's been a long time since a game between Georgetown and St. John's at the Garden had a big-time feel. But with the Hoyas sporting a lofty No. 9 ranking and the Red Storm emerging as the Big East X-factor with two road wins, is there any other way to see Monday night's 7 p.m. Big East matchup?

It may be a far cry from when the teams were ranked No. 1 and 2 in the 1985 'Sweater Game' but it's got the biggest feel in about a decade.

The Hoyas (12-2, 1-1) roll in off a tough week, having lost to No. 15 Notre Dame and won their first conference game Saturday over DePaul. St. John's (9-3, 2-0) has a four-game win streak after wins at West Virginia and Providence.

"Having been here four years, you really want to see . . . all the seniors do well," coach Steve Lavin said of his 10 seniors. "They're enjoying this little run, but they know it's a marathon."
