Paris on Abromaitis all game

Abromaitis is way too big for Hilton to guard.  Additioally, Hilton absolutely destroyed Hansborough defensively last season.

drive to the hoop and get them in foul trouble. if either hardy or dj has more than 10 ft attempts, its gunna be a good night.
Well thats a given, they don't have any problems getting up shots.......Burrell  (shooting 60 %).......thats another thing.

You're right, I didn't realize he was 6'8".  Probably going to have to put Brownlee on him then.

go inside.. inside .. inside and get their bigs esp. Abromitis in foul trouble... that's how we've been winning games... getting key players in the opposing teams in foul trouble and sending them to the bench for long stretches

I think it has to be Horne on Hansbrough and Brownlee on Abromaitis. If they can do the job on those guys then we will be in good shape. Both guys are going to get their points but we have to limit their open looks.

If Hilton were to be on Hansborough man to man than he would not "get his points".   Last year it was a mismatch of the highest order and I recall Paris completely shutting him down.

It's sort of irrelevant this year because I'm sure we'll be utilizing our multiple zone/trap looks as per usual more than locking up mano a mano.  Hansborough will be grateful not to have to look Hilton in the eye the entire game.

Ben Hansbrough impressed the hell out of me the other night offensively and defensively. He penetrated and made some nice passes, I didnt think he had that in his game. Gotta keep the ball out of his hands. On defense, he frustrated the hell out of Kemba Walker, in his jock all over the court and didnt let Kemba get off.  Hansbrough and Tim Abromaitis might be the best 1-2 punch in the Big East. Also, those ND bigs hustle for every loose ball and rebound, St Johns cant get lazy-all must crash the boards. I wonder if Lavin uses Evans and Coker a bit here?

So much for not letting Hansbrough get off
