SHU – GU at the Rock question
« on: January 18, 2011, 08:53:26 PM »
Anybody watching this game on SNY?
Am I confused, or do they have the 10-15 rows directly behind the Georgetown bench covered with a tarp, then the SHU student (blue shirts) section directly behind the tarp?

Are you kidding me? Isn't that traditionally reserved for the visiting team family and friends?

And I posted this here in this section as maybe we should pull the same stunt!

ya ive seen that a couple times this year for the hall. Gatorade must pay them to do it.

The hall blew that game and im not sure who we should have rooted for to win considering Georgetown will be competing with us for one of the last tourny spots from the BE but a loss would make our win against them look less impressive. either way it was a pretty good game.

anyone else think the jason clark is underrated? i think he is better than wright im sure baldi agrees
*wipes ketchup from his eyes* - I guess Heinz sight isn’t 20/20.

Ya Ive seen the tarp a few different times as well. And yes, I think Clark is 1 of the most underrated player in the Big East-along with Vincent Council.  As a PG, your job is to put your players in position to succeed-I dont think Chris Wright does any of that

I went to a game there last year, Marquette vs SH. The Rock was set up weird for basketball. Part of the reason has to do with the fact that there aren't many fans there. The arena is separated in two levels. The upper level is covered- no one sits there. If they had more fans they would open it.
The Gatorade sign also covers a few rows of great seats. I sat center court 2ND row, we were at least 15/20 feet from the court. Students sit behind the baskets. They get more students there then us.
Seton Hall fans are by far the dumbest and most annoying fans that I ever been around. At least Phillie fans understand baseball. On every trip SH fans would scream foul or travel and yell at the referee. I get into SJU games to and sometimes yell at the referee, but not every trip down the court and I think I am at least sometimes right.

spoke with someone from SHU.  the covering is a Big East requirement in that students must be a certain distance from visitors bench.  they originally were all student seats but this does not conform with Big East rules.  apparently when they play non conference opponents they can have students sit in the "Gatorade section"
