On the other site I compared this offense to coach Dale's offense pre-Jimmy Chitwood.
Moose, against Duke count the possesions where anyone shoots before 15 seconds are left. Like I said roster is flawed but this offensive has to go!
what's this rumor I've been hearing about Lavin firing Mike Dunlap to give you a spot on the staff? :2funny:

Exactly right. Offense has to go, we dont have the player that can break down the D and get a basket. St Johns needs to play fast and get shots up, schoolyard ball. They were playing like this att he beginning of the season and it worked, but again that wasnt against Big East teams
The offense worked against the 1st 4 Big East opponents.  And they went to it because the players couldn't get back and cover in the less-deliberate style - that's how Fordham happened.  That's why Wagner was close.

The homeless guy in front of my subway station that yells at buses could come up with a more fan friendly offense. If Dunlap was supposed to be some sort of modern day Tex Winter that rep is going to take a beating if this team fails to win as many games as noted offensive guru Norm Roberts while playing the same type of ugly ball.

I agree you can't wait until the shot clock is about to expire every time if you can't shoot. And aside for Hardy hitting a couple here and there, even he has shot poorly this year. They need to mix up something. What, I don't know. Normally, you go w the hot hand but there isn't one. Duke is gonna kill them.

What "fan friendly" offense do you want them to run?  The late 80's-to-early-90's version of Loyola Marymount?  Laker "Showtime?"

Anything but the 1951 Milan High offense.
