Brigham Young's Jimmer Fredette may ultimately be anointed the college Player of the Year, but if you're looking for the biggest story of the college basketball season, you need look no further than St. John's.

Since its last NCAA Tournament appearance in 2002, the Red Storm has been the best-of-the-rest (NIT champion in 2003), the subject of a 2004 sex scandal and an NCAA violator for cash payments to a player. Sadly, those were the only stories that kept the Johnnies relevant.
