team was clearly too emotional/not focused in the 1st half due to senior day festivities, came out with more energy in the 2nd half and got to the foul line, which was the difference. great send-off to the seniors, but there is work to be done. im pumped.

We won by 16, but man was that ugly.
Player of the game: Sean Evans.

Good for you young man!

Never know...if Johnnie Mitchell has one of those days, could be a rematch with Rutgers. They choked up a lead vs Providence and lost, so they could be very angry and look to take it out on their big rivals.

SHU is very red hot though, especially Hazell so odds are your right.

Regardless of who we get on WEDS, its going to be a big rival and will be a slugfest.

The Clark stuff at the end was awesome. Was dying of laughter about how many feeds he was getting in a matter of seconds. Great win to cap off a great year for the Red Storm.

Thank you seniors and thank you refs!

We did enough to win...hopefully we get the mojo going again.

For Clark 6 shot attempts in 7 seconds...that place would've erupted if one went in.  It was funny watching him call it off...no mas!

Oh and teams are killing our zone.  We've gotten really lazy and our rotations were not good.  Finally switched to man and we seemed to get some energy.

Also special moment with Rob Thomas...I had just got there and I almost started balling when he walked out.

I think we had better be ready to play man to man against the Hall on Wednesday.

I got a ticket at the last second after searching high and low for 2 days.

- The ceremonies were really nice, Rob T and Burrell crying was tough to watch, simply because those of us who watched them from the get-go, know this was a heart-felt final game for them.
- 2nd half we played really well, forced turnovers and just played better defense.
- Hardy didn't seem to look for his shot or create for himself till the last 3 mins of the 1st half and then was pretty M.I.A for the rest of the game.
- Brownlee, Evans and Horne were great.
- The most alarming thing for me was the poor FT shooting, AGAIN. I thought we got rid of this habit, reared it's ugly head again. Hopefully we fix that for the tournament.
- People started leaving early like 3-4 mins left in the 2nd half...I wasn't happy to see that nonsense again, on senior night no less, AWFUL.

That was the moment of the year in my opinion.

this was the BEST senior night of the 30 of 31 that I have attended (not necessarily the game but the group of players).  the lads were very emotional as pointed out.  Rob Thomas, Justin Burrell and, I believe, Paris were choked up during the introductions.  That says a lot about a positive experience at SJU.  I will be proud to call this group fellow alumni.  I agree this impacted the first half.

I think the balanced scoring said a lot.  These guys are a TEAM that believes in each other.  The emotion between them as they were substituted for at the end was a true reflection that they are a "Band of Brothers" that care about each other.

I don't know if any of you stayed for the post game but I truly enjoyed the Victory Lap that the team took.  there was a great interaction between the team and the students and the rest of the fans.  It was truly enjoyable to witness.

they have conquered the curse of the black uniforms; hopefully we get a chance to repay SH and SU in the Big East.

Pinstripez were u really at the game?  Hardy was instrumental for a stretch in the second which got us ahead.

Great tough it out win.  Good teams find ways to beat bad ones even when they are off And thats what we did.

So happy and emotional for the seniors - very nice that rob thomas was honored and it obviously meant a lot to him.

We need to tighten up our d.  The offense was so stagnant in the first half too with brownlee on the bench.   Hopefully we step it up on weds.

Yeah Brownlee has to stop getting in foul trouble we need his scoring punch.

- Boy that was fun!  A jiant Johnny lovefest if ever there was.

- Best plays were the Evans' breakaway jam and Hilton with the score off of yet another offensive rebound on a missed FT.

- Check off another major accomplishment for these dragon slaying seniors.  Breaking the curse of the black uniforms.  We'll be seeing a lot more of the black in the future now.

- Why was Rob Thomas not on the team this year?

- I like him but that caucasian player couldn't score on a little tykes basket.

- Great to see some of the same ticket scalpers from years past make a return.

- 7 and 2 at home and 5 and 4 on the road.  What a year!

72% in a college game is not poor FT shooting.  In fact,  it's the opposite.

Sean Evans continues his run of stellar shooting from the line with a 3 for 4 effort.  He must be a charter member of the "100" club.
