Awesome. Im glad these kids realize they are part of a very special group of recruits that have the ability to be a final four team at some point down the road if all goes well. I am glad they are bonding because they are going to need each other because there will be growing pains early but they will benefit in the long run from it.

they do all really seem confident but at the same time I think they will be able to coexsist with eachother. Players such as garret sampson pointer and pelle seem to have more of a team oriented game in terms of getting shots up. Players like Harrison harkless and lindsey will put up the most shots and I think that is a good thing.

Cant wait for this group to take over nyc for the next few years

They certainly can coexist. I actually think Polee leaving might help the chemistry and dissolve some of the minutes issue.  I see us starting Lindsey, Harrison, Harkless, Sampson and Pelle.  First subs off the bench will be Pointer and Amir to spell any of the 2,3 or 4 positions.  Pointer and Garrett can get big minutes without a problem.  Greene is the first off the bench to spell the backcourt.  Gods gift splits time with Pelle as it will take a little time for Pelle to come along.  Right there we're going 10 deep and I see zero issue with these kids being unhappy about their PT.  In fact Polee leaving helped the situation a bit to tell the truth.  These kids have a great bond already and great swagger.  One of our wings gets injured and we have a Pointer or Garrett stepping in seamlessly.  We have enough PT for everybody at this point, and the manpower to mow teams down with depth and athleticism.

Only reason I don't think he'll start is his lack of perimeter game.  He and Harkless will be sharing lots of minutes.  Harkless is just taller with morer offense right off the bat.  Bottom line though, is Pointer is starting material as is Sampson and Harkless.  Pointer will be first off the bench until he finds his jumper a bit more.

I don't think Pointer will start but it will be hard to keep him off the floor.

My early prediction is....

Nuri
Harrison
Harkless
Sampson
GG

Amir, Pointer, Pelle off the bench.

Stith, Greene out of rotation but spilling minutes.

Almost same as mine except for Pelle.  I agree it could be Pelle or God's gift depending on what we need.  Two different players with different skills sets which is great.  I think Greene will be in the rotation.  He'd be our first guard to spell Lindsey and/or Harrison.  He fits our game and is simply than Stith.  Pointer is first off the bench and will get a lot of minutes as will Amir.  Dave, you have to admit, it is a great lineup, and more than enough PT available at this point, especially without Polee.

Don't we already have a starting lineup thread?!  ;D

I'll add that from what I saw in the All-American Championship, Pointer still needs to learn how to finish in traffic/ when he doesn't have an open lane.  Many frosh have that problem, though.

And I think I said to Dave over the weekend that I think this means Phil Greene gets more time than he would have - the Johnnies will have to play smaller and quicker.

Being from Queen is not going to get you a start Harkless to the bench!

No you're right, but Harkless has more scoring/shooting and height at this point.  Harkless is legit as is Pointer.  Sir'Dom needs to get his jumper more consistent first, but he'll get a lot of minutes.  Probably almost as many as Harkless.

i think harkless and pointer starts.

Lindsey
harrison
pointer
harkless
Sampson

Just to start off. That gives our two biggest guys to come off the bench and amir to spell littlerally anyone of our starters.

I will say it again harkless and harrison will start. U know what I'm gonna put out my starting 4 that I'm willing to bet a round of drinks at the sly fox with anyone who wants to wager. I'm going nuri, harrison, harkless, sampson. I know coach really likes amir and dom plays so damn hard. I'm not sold on pelle or gods gift. Those last four all have a chance to start

kob,

Why aren't you sold on Pelle or GG's. Have you not seen enough of them, or have you seen too much ?

Start when?  At the begining of the season?  When we hit BE play?  At the end of the season?  My guess is that we wil see lots of lineups with lots of experimentation until some maturity and chemistry start to develop.  If I had to be tied to anyone it would be Nuri, has scoring ability and experiance,  Harrison - just shoots the ball too well,  and Sir Dominic - too much heart and tenacity to sit.  The rest will earn thier way into and out of the starting lineup as they deserve it.

This class would beat Kentucky's.  Pointer has shut down Rivers before.  Harrison can go off as well as anyone in the country.

rivers is a duke recruit. But i think if we did play kentuckys recruits vs ours we very well may come out on top. Im glad will get a chance to play them this year.

Well of course they would since it would be 5 on 4.   So even though 3 of those 4 are projected as lottery picks in the latest 2012 Mock by NBADraft.net I think they'd kill 'em.  PS Lamb and Jones are also in the top 16 in NBADraft.net's mock for '12.
