Euroleague.net reports:

Armani Jeans Milano has turned to a veteran floor general to lead the team on the court next season by signing Omar Cook. The playmaker has spent the past three seasons in the Euroleague and is the competition’s career leader in assists per game (5.53 apg.). Cook (1.86 meters, 29 years old) arrives from Power Electronics Valencia, which he led within one game of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Final Four last season. Cook averaged 8 points, 5.5 assists and 1.8 steals in 21 Euroleague games last season. Those numbers ranked him second in the league in assists and third in steals per game.

LOL. Inever could figure out the allure of the D league over playing in Europe. The European teams pay much better  and treat their players like stars.

selfishly, i wish he would have stayed...but i guarantee he's made more money than 99 percent of his class.

europe is a wonderful place to spend a chunk of your youth.

Do you think Omar regrets the decision?

He's made it clear that he regrets leaving early.
It was a terrible decision that he'll have to live with.

That said, when he was a freshman here, he was only player worth his salt.
Yet, he still managed to average over 8 dimes per game,
and take over games often.

Sure they lost to some really bad teams, and he had off nights,
but the kid was great. Especially for a freshman. I think part of the reason
he left was Jarvis' inability to bring anyone in to help him.

Too bad he didn't stay to play with Hatten in the backcourt, because that would have been something else.

SO basically he made a huge mistake going to St. Johns in the first place

He hated Jarvis.  He fell into STJ lap if I recall when UNC went after Adam Boone I think.

They'd signed Morrison earlier and then Boone and Omar had no choice but to drop them since they cancelled their offer.  LIke you said, he fell in Jarvis' lap.

I always got Boone and Morrison mixed up.  I actually had Morrison typed out and erased it for Boone.

They both sucked, looks like UNC made a mistake. Well at least they helped ruin Cook's career
