true, but much of his issue is not self induced.  if he improves his handle and off the ball defense he is without a doubt a high major impact player.

If you had to guess, where do you think he ends up?

apparently there is a rumor (redmen.com) that he might commit to St. John's soon...let's hope its true...we need some good news.  Anyone have any idea if he is 2008 or 2009?

the probability is that he will not be a 2008 recruit. im really not saying much more than that.

It has been my understanding that they were planning on him being '09 all along.

scout reports he is waiting for his SAT scores. I assume if good, he can be eligible for 2008.

Sean Kilpatrick Profile

Sean Kilpatrick, his 6-foot-4, 190-pound power guard from White Plains High School in White Plains, New York, is awaiting results from an SAT try, according to sources close to Sean.

Kilpatrick is a hard-working guard with the ability to make contributions in many different ways on the court. He has local and national interest in his skills, if he were to qualify academically.

Miami, George Washington, Cincinnati, Kansas State, and St. John's were the schools mentioned by our sources as being under consideration.

KILPATRICK AWAITING TEST SCORE

Sean Kilpatrick, a 6-3 wing out of White Plains (N.Y.) High, has garnered interest from St. John's, Seton Hall, Virginia, Miami, Villanova and Marquette. However, he must first obtain the required SAT score.

"I think I'm going to take it one more time (May 3) just to get a higher score," Kilpatrick said. "Other than that, I'm just trying to enjoy the whole senior (year)."

Kilpatrick, who scored a tournament-record 44 points in a game this past season at the Big Apple Classic, has visited St. John's unofficially and lists that as his current favorite.

"Yes, it is (my favorite)," he said. "I think that would be a comfortable place for me."

If Kilpatrick doesn't get the required test score, he may end up at prep school.

Before those decisions are made, he's looking forward to playing at Madison Square Garden.

"This is my first time playing there so it should be fun, especially playing with my best friends (Kevin Jones and Syracuse-bound small forward Mookie Jones of Peekskill (N.Y.) High)," Kilpatrick said. "It should be a lot of fun."

i keep on trying to say sean is good but i think the class of 09 has to many studs to give their scholarship to him. thats just my opinoin though.

I guess that means one of 2 things...the staff likes him as much as the players in the 2009 class or the staff is not very confident in the chances of landing the 2009 studs.

It sure would be nice to bring in another PG.  I like Paris but I don't think he can log significant minutes at the point.  Is there anyway Paris can talk to his buddy Jarrett Mann and convince him to come Queens?

If a known shooter wants to come here we have no choice but to welcome him open arms. If the administration is forcing to stick it out with Roberts, than any player we get that is a legit division one layer should be treated with respect.

We had a very talented nyc point guard who wanted to come here in Darryl Truck Bryant, but instead Roberts pushed him aside, and put the full court press on Syl Landesberg, who never really wanted to come here in the first place. And what does Norm have to show for himself for his judgement? Zero recruits coming in next season.

There was a strong crop of players in this current 08-09 class, but none of them trust Roberts.

Side question: why do people talk about Paris as the back up point?  Why not Kennedy and Wright, who seem like they could learn?  Did I miss the game where Horne showed off some kind of handle??

why not Paris? he can't learn?  Larry is not a point...Kennedy has some instincts of a point but   I think Paris would have the easiest transition.  just my opinion that Paris would be best there out of those 3...but I don't see any of them being able to handle the load if Boothe goes down.

Paris wasn't able to create anything off the dribble last year. Did he log one assist all season?
A point guard he will never be. Kennedy at least is a baller. Horne is an athlete, but not a basketball player.

when truck wanted to come here he really wasnt all that good he ended up being a surprise. he was damn near like kemba even though i always could see that kemba was gonna be a stud. remember they didnt go after him either. and like truck, kemba, even corey fisher sylvan wanted to come here. thats not even a question. but sylavan wanted to play point and norm told him he sees him at the wing. my thing is u have 1 point guard for next year with geno gone why cant sylvan run the point. how can that hurt. worst comes to worst he ends up being a sg and we have a mickey ds all american. now what im saying is put all ur time and energy into getting kevin parrom and winston graham. or put the full court press on omari lawrence. they all play on the same aau team. and omari and kevin are program changers. kevin is gonna blow up this summer and schools like rutgers and nc state who are recruiting him hard are gonna have 1st dibbs. learn from the past dont put all ur eggs in one basket.

Norm tried to get Fisher and Syl. These kids who claim that they want to come here are flat out lying. If they wanted to be at St.John's they would have signed with us. Forget what they say. These kids run their mouths and half the time they have no idea what they want, but the one thing they do know is that they don't want SJU.

If Fisher really wanted to come to SJU, and it really was his dream school like he said, then why even listen to Nova at all?
