MJ...I want to know what flavor gum Anderson is chewing every day!
When you're a kid from New York and you do it in New York, that lasts forever!

LOL  Hopefully, it's "Big Red."  By the way, Gathers will also be participating (Louisiana Select) at the Peach Jam, this week.

I'm gonna attempt to keep an eye on possible recruits and kids who are getting rave reviews (Coleman, Purvis, Noel, Woodbury and the likes).  I'm mainly gonna keep a watchful eye on Anderson and Gathers.      ;)

Not sure if this preview of Peach Jam is pay protected.  In case it is, I'm just copying the Kyle and Gathers part-

http://nychoops.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1239355

Kyle Anderson, New Jersey Playaz - - What stands out about the 6-foot-8 Anderson is ability to defend a big and play at the point, almost a la Scottie Pippen. He's the top assist man at six per game and also leading the EYBL in steals with 2.3 a contest.

Ricardo Gathers, Louisiana Select - - Currently rated #34 in the nation, the 6-foot-6 Gathers plays much bigger than he is. Not only is he the second leading scorer at 20.2, but he's the top rebounder in the entire EYBL, yanking down 21 boards in one game.

One game.
And he's apparently rebounding a lot of his own misses.

I'm typing on my cell phone, so I'll make this brief.  Anderson was a beast during the morning session.  He was doing everything and was certainly the catalyst in the Playaz Club's win.  I was going back and forth watching Anderson and Gathers, as they were playing at the same time.  Gathers's team probably won't get out of pool play, as Louisiana Select isn't overly talented.  Gathers had a so-so game from I witnessed.  He was constantly drawing two defenders when got the ball.  Nevertheless, when he gets the ball a few feet away from the basket then he usually converts.  By the way, I noticed not one Texas coach watching Gathers this AM.   Hmmmmmmm.....  Although, I did see three LSU coaches (Johnson and 2 asst.) In attendance.  I also spoke to well-connected guy from the east coast.  He was fairly vehement in his belief of Anderson not leaving the metro area.  In his mind, he believes Seton Hall is more of a threat to the Johnnies than G'town.   He said, he wouldn't be shock to see Kyle go to G'town, but he knows Kyle is very close to his family (especially, his sister) and feels it's the Johnnies or the Hall.   Thisguy also stated Gathers is probably St. John's to lose.  I'll try to gather (no pun, intended) more info during the evening session.  Take care, folks!

Good job.  BTW-I heard the EXACT same thing with regards to Kyle (between SJU and SHU).  EXACT same thing.

Fantastic news.  IMO, it would be a no brainer in my mind between SJU and SHU unless he is trying to make a sentimental Jersey pick. SJU has too many advantages for Kyle in that matchup.  Kyle would have an uphill battle with the talent or lack thereof at the Hall with the exceptionmof Brian Oliver.

If that's the case, I feel good after Kyle SR.'s comments about playing around talent and being the "ultimate Robin." SH has no talent...it's sad actually as I pull for them.

It is kinda sad I agree.  He couldn't be Robin at Seton Hall.  He'd need to be Batman and call in Superman for reinforcements.  I think hismfather knows the situation at the Hall.  If SHU was a talent-laden team, I think KA's recruitment would favor him committing to Seton Hall.  Bottom line though is that when KA steps on the court, most of the talent that was left like Pope, Theodore etc would be gone.
