@EvanDanielscout: Katin Reinhardt just committed to UNLV, per his father.

Well, seemed like a longshot anyway.

I guess he envisioned getting the green light from Rice.  Nevertheless, good luck to Katin!

Some kids like to be the BIG FISH in the small pond...........  thing is the kid's just not that good.

Come on. SMH

Double SMH .  He didn't commit here .. so now he is no good?  Honestly Realfan.  How would you know how good he is?  It was a big decision for the kid and he chose the situation that he felt was best.  Wish the kid luck.  I am just glad we now don't have to hang on every recruits decision.

Hey, I am entitled to my opinion.  From what I have seen of him, I thought he was OK but certainly not the level of a Jimmer Ferdette or a program changer.  He is good, but not the next GREAT ONE!! ::)

UNLV is going to be legit again. Watchout they are bringing that program back to the LJ days

Wouldnt go that far, bre.
I mean UNLV '90, '91 was the best college bball team I ever seen.

Yeah, I think the best they can hope for is to continue what Kruger did there. UNLV will never win another national championship, but they could have years where they make it to the Elite Eight. And even that may be tough because Kruger could flat-out coach. The jury is still out on Rice.

I wouldnt go that far to say they can't win a NCAA Championship.  Butler has been a game away 2 yrs in a row.  VCU's run.  I think its very much possible if Rice gets them to the days when he played there.  Legally of course :)

Richard "The Fixer" rings a bell, but no clue on last name.

I think one of those kids was Moses Scurry, a former recruit who could not qualify and had to JUCO in Texas, we eventually swapped his scholarship two years later with Boo Harvey who never ended up on Syracuse's campus

Moses was recruited out of Brooklyn in the same class with Jayson Williams, but ultimately went the juco route.

He played pro ball in Japan and was sentenced to two years in prison in 1994 -- served something like six months -- for his role in a carjacking in which someone was shot.

(Hmmm, seems that Jayson and he continued to have something in common.)

Makes me wonder how being involved with Wood impacted Katin possibly.

Katin looked awesome today. He really would fit in our system perfectly.  He is a lights out shooter and has great vision.  Really wish we had landed him

Now we just need Dave Rice to get caught with a hooker in a hotel room.  I mean... it is Vegas right?
