I just can't envision us playing UK close at this point. They're really, really, really good.

Talented, yes, but they have a LONG way to go.  I wouldn't be shocked if our young squad gave them a good run or even walked away with a W.  Look who they play on Saturday.

So, you're saying there's a chance?

Seriously, you wouldn't be surprised? I'd be surprised of we lose by 10. In a good way.

Eh, I think this team is alot different than past year's. I'm usually on the anti-Kentucky bandwagon, but this team is just a horrible matchup for us. They're going to absolutely obliterate us on the boards.

I'm a pessimist.  It comes from rooting for all the crappy NY teams my whole life.  I think 5 wins.

I keep looking at our schedule and I can't see how we win more than 14 games this year. This schedule is crazy tough

I see an immense amount of over reacting after 1 bad loss as if we didn't have 3 of them to start the year last season ( st Mary's, Bonnie's, Fordham). We fail to forget that lavin isn't back on the sideline yet, we're def getting Amir in a couple of weeks and were a free throw away from being 5-2 with a W against a top 25 Texas a&m team and 6-1 if we don't fall asleep at the wheel last game. I'll go out on a limb and predict 8-9 league wins with splits against Cincy and a better Depaul club. We beat underachieving providence, south Florida, seton hall , rutgers and Notre dame. We get a W against either nova or west Virginia ( they've both already lost to teams worst then us) and we upset Louisville or Marquette.I don't see Louisville puttin up 65+ every night in big east play and if theres one thing we can do is score, I've also watced Marquette squeak by norfolk state in a preseason tourney they had a  very hard time beating the zone and handling full court pressure. Two things we do very well and will only get better at.

Moose, sorry to break this to you but Thursday is going to be one of the later. I am in the sit back and enjoy watching the kids mode, but Thursday gonna be UGLY

If your a betting man sure.  But stranger things have happened.  Not saying we are going to win but it could be competitive for all we know.  Kentucky plays UNC on Saturday.  Maybe they overlook us a bit.

Maybe our zone will cause problems for the 'cats.   Has Kentucky faced a strong zone yet this season?
Sure our zone will cause problems for the number one team in the country. The same zone that could not even cause problems for D3 CW Post. ???

  Over 3...lock of the century..

A 22 point loss to Uk at Rupp doesn't change that layup.

Agreed. I always go overboard, but since I said 3 I gotta stick with it. But I do think the ceiling is 5 wins

Wins

Since I already posted 3, I'll stick with it and root against myself.

The wins will be West Va, Depaul and at Seton Hall

We could probably squeak out 5 wins

Unfortunately, I think Im going to right on this.
