St Johns 70 Ghetto 68

F Dickie v on his night

Dickie V actually said that he doesn't deserve this. He's right. They should put his name on Duke's court.
Good Zing!  I was too young for it, but I would have enjoyed seeing Dickie coach Detroit during those special years in the days when it was possible to have smaller schools go successfully vs. quite a few of the bigger name schoolsw/ Dickie and Digger leading the way to strong runs/seasons. Some of you saw it - what was it like?

They should allow Dickie V to coach tonight.
Honorary coach for the first 5 minutes, kinda like Senior night? lol  That would be special!

How about honorary coach for an entire game?  That would be better.  LOL
Would Dickie V's hands ever stop moving during the game? Non-stop quote material.  "I want you to box out more than your Christmas gifts baby" --- "you're traveling more than I do to UND" --- Halftime call -> "K, am I complaining enough to the refs?" Endless material...

Still can't get the picture of Felipe clanking a potential Ncaa game winning 3 off the back iron against these guys out of my head.

Lou Reed - 65
Ted Nugent - 63

I don't get why so many STJ fans dislike Dickie V so much.  Yes, he's a Duke homer, but he was also the only guy talked positively about us and how he wanted us to get back to greatness during the Norm error.

Detroit is 3-6. They have lost the last three games: at Akron (by 18 points) and against Youngstown State and Cleveland State at home.

We must win.

Took a while to recover from that loss ,  if I remember right SJU was down 2 and Lopez fired up a 3 for the win.

I dislike him for basically the same reason why a lot of New Yorkers dislike Susan Waldman. The voice. It's annoying. The call the damn game.
And seriously, if anyone was speaking positively about SJU during the Norm era, they weren't talking from experience. There were no signs that anything was improving under Roberts. Vitale just gets excited.

I think the game is a pick-em mainly because nobody knows which SJU team shows up just yet.  We also just got worked by UK.  Now is the time to start finding our game a bit.  Need to get wins in games like tonight.  Like I said, one game at a time but the next three games mean a lot for this young team's confidence as well as resume'.

I don't think this game is a pick'em.  They are small, they don't shoot the ball particularly well, and they won't kill us with passing.  They start a 6'5 kid at pf and their only real big man has fouled out of half their games thus far.  Let's get him out early with fouls and take it to them.

This is a team we should be able to zone effectively.

Vegas has it virtually as a Pick'Em.

Think it should be a close game. Hope I'm wrong and we come out hungry.

Would love to put money us on tonight seeing that Vegas has it as a pick 'em.  But just not sure I can pull the trigger on us yet.   Would've liked to see us win a close one before I put my money where my heart is.
