A Win
« on: December 17, 2011, 04:21:12 PM »
We needed it.  Wasn't pretty, but it's a win.

Our offense in the halfcourt is horrendous. I'm not impressed with COACH Dunlop, whatsoever.  Not sure what he brings to the table.

Players have no fire and no inspiration it seems.  Oh well.  On to the next one.  Ugly!

He should stay on the line the whole game.  They played their best ball when he was on the phone.

 Recruit! Recruit! Recruit!

People will complain about anything. Lavin is trying to do his job, recruit and recover from cancer at the same time, and fans are mad at this? How dare he recruit when he should stay home in bed all day.

He already tried to come back once and coach and said it was just too much for him. Do you think he is lying? Really?

I want Lav recruiting as much as his health will allow.   We have half a team!   It's not as if he can bring in just bench players who will never see any playing time - we're going to need some guys in this class who are Big East caliber talent!

I'm actually much more optimistic about our 2012 class now than I was 2 weeks ago.  His last couple of interviews, especially after the Nuri departure, show that the staff is attacking the 2012 recruiting class with the full court press now.   That's the most encouraging thing I've heard from our program in months.

With that said though, our offense stinks.   I've got faith in the staff - but Dunlap has to get these guys moving on offense.  Sharper cuts, quicker passes - just let them be decisive.   And who cares if we occasionally take a bad shot early in a possession??  I can live with that from freshmen if we're being more aggressive and attacking the defense.

Take the reigns off coach!

Harrison 5-17 and Greene 4-16, Harkless 6-16. Double doubles for both Gift and Moe. Team total of 7 assists isnt a good sign against an awful team. Our guards have to get better and they will

He also wasn't acting head coach during games. Amazing assistant, doesn't really have the chops to coach these kids at the head.

But I think what gets lost in this is that these kids had to play the whole game today. A little props to them please for winning a game with 5 players.
