Troy Murphy previously held the record with 30 against Providence in 1999.

Congrats to Moe, who finished with 32 points...and 14 rebounds!!!

Future lotto pick without a doubt.

Just hope he has the wisdom to stay beyond his frosh year. I know people are gonna be in his ear but hopefully he stays for 2nd year to get better and compete for shot at Final 4

I couldn't help but think of Kevin Durant when describing Moe's game tonight!!!  Awesome game from him and the rest of the team!

He's a smart kid and seems to have good people in his ear. He's not ready for the NBA yet but doubt he will be here for 4 years.

So dominant tonight.  If he can get more consistency on the three ball and foul line, the sky is the limit.

Im also very impressed by how well he rebounds.  Great hands and timing.

If he's still here when he's supposed to be a junior, ill be surprised.

He really is an incredible rebounder.  If he gets his hands on it...he's coming down with it.

I think Harkless could use one more year here to hone his game, build his body and have a chance at a top 5 pick.  I dont expect him to be here after sophomore season and IMO probably shouldn't with the money he'll earn.  Remember, he'll continue to pay dividends for SJU.  Nothing recruits better than Lavin pumping out lottery picks.  As much as it might hurt to think about losing him, Lavin's recruiting would be helped tremendously by putting out his first lofty pick at SJU.  Lavin has enough advantages on the recruiting trail as it is.  Recruits will flock if and when Harkless is a lottery pick.  I've heard we are real strong with the 2013/14 classes as is.  Can only get better.  Mo going pro is win/win for him as well as SJU when it does happen.  Good kid from what I hear and deserves every bit of the success that lies ahead.  He needs to play with this intensity every game.

Pretty sure there aren't too many non-family members in his ear, and the main one that I know of is smart enough to tell him to stay two years.

I think he needs to stay all 4 years so he has a degree to fall back on :)

I'd be sick if he ended up with Jim.

Never hurts, I dont think players should leave early unless they are a lottery pick. Just look at Brandon Roy, his career was cut short but has a degree to fall back on. Still, Harkless has alot to work on before he is NBA ready and will be here next year

While I am all for educating yourself as well as (selfishly) wishing he stays here 4 years, a bachelor's degree isn't much to "fall back" on now a days in comparison to making a few million just by signing that dotted line on an NBA lottery contract.

Now that being said, I think he still needs to work on his body and his game (a bit) before thinking pros.

Moe's a smart kid and has good people around him.  I came in expecting 3 yrs out of him.  If he continues to play like this 2 seems to be the story.  And nothing wrong with that.  The sooner we get some NBA guys the better for this program.

+1   Completely agree with everything Moose said.  I thought some of the nba talk was a bit premature.  It's not.  Moe is a borderline first rounder THIS year.  If he continues to improve his body and ball handling, he's a lock for next year's lottery.  And I can't see any scenario other then injury where we see Moe for his junior year.   A high lotto pick will be something for the program to celebrate.  It's been awhile.

Heres a question for you guys.

If the nba draft was tomorrow, who do you think would be taken first:
Kris Joesph or Moe Harkless.

NBAdraft.net has Joeseph as the 21st pick for this years draft
*wipes ketchup from his eyes* - I guess Heinz sight isn’t 20/20.

Mo but don't tell him. :)

I hope guys are joking when they say he should  stay and get his degree.  I have a law degree and I will not make in a lifetime what a good NBA player makes in a year.  And by the way, schools will still be there when the NBA career ends.
