Im not watching game, How does Deandre Daniels look? Whats his game like?

He a Moe Harkless

dont think hes got the complete game that moe has. Maybe hes taking a back seat but doesnt seem to have the smoothness or quickness that moe has imo. think hes gonna be good however

Team played better in the 2nd half. Showed some fight.

Now they need to realize what they did differently for next game.

And looking at the box score, we said it all game long - but this team won't win many games when we shoot 20 3's.  But it's damn near impossible to win when we only make 4 of those 24.

We simply don't have enough bodies.  Tall order with 7 guys, almost all of whom are freshmen.  Need some more big guys up front to help Achiuwa.  A few more guard options to Greene and Harrison to spell them and offer different skills.  We gave Uconn a tougher time thn the score might indicate.  Uconn just made a very high percentage of their shots and have upperclassmen and depth.  We will be tough down this stretch this season.  A game away against the national champs with our lack of depth and experience is usually a loss.  I'm still encouraged in his we played hard and almost got it back to single digits late.  a few more guys and we'll be monstrous starting next year, but I still think this season could be a decent one.  We wont play many better teams than we played today, except maybe Cuse and duke.

Tough matchup for us...they are so big all around.  Nice to see Pointer become more agressive with the ball.  He had some unbelievable finishes.  I like how the team battled to the end.  Thats a sign of good things to come from this group.

Some positive things...

-They played even with UConn for 2nd half

-Only had 7 turnovers

-They got to the FT line 30 times

-Had 11 offensive rebounds (a ton by Pointer for points)

Some of the negatives....

-Let UConn shoot 60%

-Poor closeouts defensively gave UConn a lot of open looks

-Shot 24 threes

-Only made 4 of those 24 threes

-Had 7 assists on 21 made baskets

I do mind when God's Gift is taking them though.  Box score says he took two but it felt like he took five.

It's really not St. John's game.

Harrison and Greene should average 4 attempts a game. Harkless 2. Pointer 1. Random 1.

That's 12 a game.

Most of the 3's we took were open shots...no problem taking them.  The problem is that we missed them.

Loved the fight from the kids today....Lavin needs to bring in some solid recruits next year to build around this core.  Now let's go knock off Louisville...

Dom played well today. He is really improving . I think Deangelo should be our PG. UConn is tough. They have such awesome size and can really hit the 3.
