I agree...they aren't good enough to play the zone defense.

All the pre season talk about being long and athletic has proven to be futile...they have no idea how to rotate properly in the zone. Wide open 3's are a trend EVERY SINGLE GAME

We're also missing three guys who we felt would be part of the long and athletic team (Sampson, Pelle and Lindsey).

why stith ever goes into the paint is beyond me

Stith tries hard, but even when trying hard he isn't skilled/tall enough to be effective.  He can be a useful guy to throw in to steady the pace for 5 minutes a game but the staff for some reason only plays him off-ball.  Makes no sense.

doesn't matter though, this team on the floor right now, isn't smart enough, or capable to play this quick rotating zone defense yet they stick with it thinking let's have at it maybe we can get better. There hasn't been any improvement in the defense since day one. The same flaws rear their heads every game

Because everyone else is at the 3 pt line. Harkless needs to get down low

Stith takes a heavily contested 3 early in the clock on a crucial possession, youve gotta be kidding

Of course, but it is much more easy and logical to criticize Stith.

it's a blessing to be only down 3 at the half with the open shots we've given up and the amount of turnovers
