Yup, running the point is taking a toll on Phil. I think we see a totally different Phil Greene next year.

Damn Baldi on point lately!  This is exactly the case.  I posted when Greene took over the pg responsibilities that he might have a one or two game grace period before he inevitably starts to over think the game and starts to play lousy as a result. I also said that it would not be permanent.

I can't stress how important it is for kids to just play the game.  You can tell instantly when a kid is thinking instead of reacting.  The same thing is true with Garrett right now.

Gathers, Sampson, and Obekpa is some prediction.  I don't see how that happens, but I also thought there was no chance we landed another SF after we had Mo and Sampson last year...and some how we got Pointer AND Garrett.

The staff will develop Garrett into a 2 after they can work with him extensively. He doesn;t have a great outside shot but they will make him a better one and devlop his right hand a bit.

Even if we get two of the recruits mentioned and the turn to a Sanchez type for the third, this team is going to be very tough next season. All they lack is size and depth/

We got spoiled watching Mullin for 4 years, although I think Ray Allen has the prettiest jumpshot the world has ever known.

Allan Houston.

Allan Houston.

His form was great. I also liked Allen, Price, Alford might have had the best looking J, Tim Legler, Trent Tucker, Craig Hodges and Dale Ellis

Yeah. That is who you should be counting on for recruiting info. Do you not remember "the kid is coming"? I think at one point he predicted Lebron James was coming to play for Norm.

No, what has happened is poor Baldi has been emasculated by all the criticism and has turned "face" to borrow a wrestling term. Personally I enjoyed "heel"" Baldi more than "Stepford" Baldi.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder :)    I can think of 20 guys with prettier jump shots than the guy listed here.   Prettier that is, till the ball got near the rim......gorgeous leaving the hand, if only they could actually put it in the hole....

Who spiked your Cheerios lately?

But on a serious note, I feel the same.
Moose, better than if Baldi listed none of them. Then you would have had to ask who p'-ed in Baldi's Cheerios!  Cheerios, Mates!

I will not be the least bit surprised in RicKarrKa happens.

Other than Wasju's criticism here;  the board has been uncharacteristically patient and uncritical of Phil's play thus far.  His shooting stats ( .300 and .200 ) including 0 - 9 and 1 - 8 efforts have significant room for improvement.

I'm impressed.

He wasn't supposed to be the starting pg. Lindsey is to blame for what he did to this teammates.

I have been keeping score. Lindsey is now responsible for:
1. Harrison's shooting %
2. Greene's ability
3. Malik Stith's height
4. Norm Roberts coaching record
5. Spitting on Kramer and Newman at the Met's game
6. The Jets offense
7. Bernie Madoff
8. Sub prime mortgage crisis
9. Cuban missile crisis
10. Suzyn Waldman
11. Dave stealing that guy's t shirt
12 Walter Berry leaving after his junior year
13. Artest leaving after his soph year
14. the economy
15. The Kardashians having a show
16. Reality TV
17. Obama
18. Janet Jacson's nip slip
19. Geno's headband
20. Every good TV show that was ever cancelled

Has Harrison played better since Nuri is gone?

Yes.

End of discussion.

Gods Gift has played worse I blame Greene. See that argument works both ways. 11 games is not enough of a sample either way. Scapegoats are nice though ;)

Greene needs a lot of practice. I hope they can turn him into a contributor next season.

Man when he hits that floater/pull up, it looks so sweet.  But when he doesn't he looks Cedric-esqe.
Just seems to always be shooting falling away. . .

Moose...Do you think that list (along with Brach of he counts) would qualify as top 10-15 recruiting classes.

No better practice than 35 minutes a night in the Big east.  He'll be a fine player for us for the next 3 1/2 years.

I hope he is, but they should be working on the form of his jumper right now. It's awful. Although its better than Stith

LOL...I am waiting for one of Stith's bazookas to go straight under the basket

greene will be a much better player next year.  with a true PG on the roster, it'll alleviate green some to play SG.  he's a good player.  he's just not a PG.

I do like Green, but he hasnt demonstrated that he is a SG either, but he s only a FR. Needs to hit the outside shot consistantly

You guys need to lay off Greene...forget what he doesn't look like...pg or sg...he looks like a freshman, and a promising one at that.

I agree Marillac, tough to learn the PG position on the go -in the Big East nonetheless. Like you said earlier, hes thinking too much, unsure of himself and hesitant. Make all youre mistakes this year Phil, the experience will help in the long run. Greene will be a nice 4 year contributor for us

Agree Marillac and Baldi.  Maybe the staff will start to D-Lo the ball at the point more to alleviate some of the pressure from Greene.  To say that the minutes and responsibility he is being asked to handle as a frosh isn't impacting his play is just nuts.
