3.4 definately good enough to get into Harvard if you are a basketball recruit.  Easy!  Harvard was the first to relax admission standards ever so slightly for bball, under Amaker as coach.  One of the reasons Syndey Johnson left Princeton for Fairfield was because he was continually butting heads with admissions over recruits that could get into Harvard but not Princeton.

Edosomwan is Nigerian.  If we land him and Obekpa, between the men's and women's teams we'll have 5 Nigerians, enough to represent Nigeria at the Co-Ed Olympics.

Take a good listen to Edosomwan's video interview.  He's sooo far removed from Nigeria it's not even funny.  The kid sounds like when Dave Chapelle makes fun of white people. :2funny:

He's also originally from Houston like 3'Angelo and Branch.

Hopefully this is an old interview that wasn't posted until the 25th. but if the interview was on the 25th we are out with this kid based on this question and answer.

3. Do you have a top 5-10 list of schools?

Edosomwan: UCLA, USC, HARVARD, CAL, Washington and Texas.

Strange that he doesn't mention us, it's also clear that he has a type of profile he's looking for in a school.  And we really don't fit the criteria.

He's looking at schools with some of the best academic reputations and that have campuses the size of a medium size city.

At UCLA it was competing with Princeton.    He won AND lost with the same player - Spencer Gloger.  Spencer signed Grant-in-Aid with UCLA, but after 3 weeks of school, transferred to Princeton.  Sat out his Xfer year there, and was Ivy "newcomer of the year".  He played two years, then came BACK to UCLA, then again transferred back to Princeton for his senior year, never playing for the Bruins.  He was all IVY his Senior year, and has had a terrific Euro career since.   A virtual clone of Jason Kapono.      I think even most UCLA fans don't realize what a loss he was.

Gloger got great coaching at Princeton, but you're right about the competition.

That is interesting.  Interesting that he would reclassify and drop Harvard.  I could see him doing a prep to try and qualify at Harvard.  A lot of the Ivy lax programs do that with kids that can't qualify.  They will go do PG years at Deerfield, Choate, etc and then try to get accepted.

Ah ok, that makes total sense.  Are they promising him admission, or does he has to meet certain requirements?
