Gift is so lost. Better for him to leave next year for a low D1 situation. Sorry, simply working off my frustration.

i think this game will be as ugly as the Cincy game.

SHU75
SJU50

They dont have a bevy of guards who can hit shots. Unless pope just goes bizurk on us I see it being close with us possible pulling it out.

Ill say:
St Johns     66
Seton Hall  62

Great call. did not see this one comming
*wipes ketchup from his eyes* - I guess Heinz sight isn’t 20/20.

What are they something like 11 for 12 in the 2nd half. Unreal.

I think that all depends on how we defend the post. If Pope gets going early he demands a double team and he is a very good passer out of the blocks.

I think it also depends on whether or not we defend any of threes they take. Man to man against these chumps is the way to go. All they can do is shoot the 3. Pope is going to get his against our lousy defense anyway. If we play man, at least we've left it on the floor, and not handed them the game after outplaying our opponent like we did Sunday.

Seton Hall 82, SJ 65

Seton Hall goes 12-16 from 3.

75% from 3?
How many teams shoot that from 3 with lets say a minimum of 10 attempts

I'll eat crow.  Its a 30 point game so I draw the line now.  14 of 22 is 63%.  Pretty damn close Poison.

Just got home from class.

Can we just cancel the rest of the season?

People can bring up the playing time argument all they want, it is going to be very hard to get recruits to believe in this program when we lose to Seton Hall by 30 points.

Yes, we are well aware that this team is shorthanded. But that is no reason why only one of our players can shoot the ball and we barely even attempt to play defense whatsoever. I'm hoping Lavin has some serious magic up his sleeve because five mid tier recruits aren't going to suddenly transform this team into a contender next season.

What a complete disaster this program is right now.  I couldn't been more right in my opinion about everything I've been critical of on this board the past week or so.  What a bunch of useless perennial Kool-aid drinking dreamers/spin-meisters on this board.  Time to take off your rose colored St. John's glasses and open your eyes.  Being a true fan to you must also include being blinded by your allegiances no matter how obviously wrong you are about a situation, and to me that's just being ignorant and has nothing to do what so ever with being a true fan at all.

Steve Lavin is going to be on the hot-seat very soon (imho).  He better start making himself visible again and he better start landing some recruits and also hold on to them for longer than lets say 3 months.  What a mess...

Another great very successgful season in your opinion right.   :-[  Don't blame me, I didn't create this.  I'm just stating the obvious, but it's OBVIOUSLY not obvious to the rest of you on this board.

I feel very bad for the handful of scholarship players left on this roster who are playing their hearts out and doing all that they can do, and it's certainly not their fault.  We have less than HALF a team LEFT in number.
