Steve Lavin is going to be on the hot-seat very soon (imho).

What a complete disaster this program is right now.  I couldn't been more right in my opinion about everything I've been critical of on this board the past week or so.  What a bunch of useless perennial Kool-aid drinking dreamers/spin-meisters on this board.  Time to take off your rose colored St. John's glasses and open your eyes.  Being a true fan to you must also include being blinded by your allegiances no matter how obviously wrong you are about a situation, and to me that's just being ignorant and has nothing to do what so ever with being a true fan at all.

Steve Lavin is going to be on the hot-seat very soon (imho).  He better start making himself visible again and he better start landing some recruits and also hold on to them for longer than lets say 3 months.  What a mess...

Another great very successgful season in your opinion right.   :-[  Don't blame me, I didn't create this.  I'm just stating the obvious, but it's OBVIOUSLY not obvious to the rest of you on this board.

I feel very bad for the handful of scholarship players left on this roster who are playing their hearts out and doing all that they can do, and it's certainly not their fault.  We have less than HALF a team LEFT in number.

You are insane. Go play in traffic.

Was at the game.. everybody calm down. Kids played hard but it was their night. They hit every three and their pg controlled the game.  We will get our three big men and our qb next fall and the hall will be be on the other side of the beating next year at msg.

Why is it that no names on Seton Hall (like most other teams) can actually make jump shots and we have at most 1 and 1/2 players with range outside of 6
inches. And who chopped off GG's hands?

How did PMG's boys do??

Think he said they took home a 7 point win, and Willard spent some time with his kids.  Glad someone had a productive night.

All the hysterics aside... losing by 30 is never fun.  But Hall is a good team with an experienced point and a solid big man; we couldn't have expected a win.

But, it's not like this is the time to be demanding performance either.   Four years into Norms tenure it should have been put up or shut up time.   We're one year into the Lavin regime, and he took us to the tournament last year.   He had to replace an entire roster thanks to the prior staff, and if you throw in the fact he had cancer - you'd have to be completely irrational to say he needs to show us any results this season.   It's painful to watch, but this is a throw away season whether anyone wants to call it that or not.   You can't compete in the Big East with all freshmen.  And you certainly can't do it with 6 scholarship players.

On the flip side though, there's obvious work to be done for everybody in this program.  Hammer to the rock as they like to say....
Lavin needs to produce in the spring signing period.  No miracles;  but at the very least we need a solid 4 man class and one of the top 3 we talk about.

The guys need to continue to work their tails off.  Moe in weight room, and Amir/Dom in the practice gym.   Get with Rico as often as the rules allow and work on their individual skills.

And Dunlap needs to drill some efficiency into this team on both ends of the floor.  If we're going to be a zone team, they have got to identify the shooters and know to shade to them, rotate early to their side.  Drill the h$ll out of defensive rotations until it's like riding a bike.  Same goes for the offense; when we see zone they need to know to attack it like teams are doing to us.  Move the ball around, get guys off their feet on shot fakes, and cut back door when somebody's attacking the lane.   Coach D certainly knows his bball ... he needs to find a way to impart more of that knowledge to our guys in uniform.

Ugly loss, but no reason to dwell on it.  If we want things to get better, the whole program needs to keep working.   A winning team next year is possible, but it's not going to fall into our lap.  Everyone's got a job to do.
