Tony Chiles is at Carrington's game today. Staff realizes, IMO, that Whitehead will be tough to get, so this is a decent option.

Also its always Chiles.  Where is Hines?  Where is Martin?

My memory is shot... But has Hines been the point man on any recruits since he has been on the staff?

Don't think so. Diva?

In fairness, I saw Hines at Carrington's last game with Lavin. Know what you are saying though.

Thank you.  I can't recall his name getting mentioned much.  Especially 'during' the season.  Haven't heard Martin's yet.

Dunlap didn't recruit last year.  Maybe Lavin doesn't make that his lead assistant's primary function.

No its because Dunlap detested recruiting.
And on the contrary he was spotted on the road a number of times.  Mostly NYC area or Northeast.  OSNA and Brewster off the top of my head.

You are right.. And hope he is keeping his eye on mike Williams as well.

How would you rank the NYC PG's of 2014 and 2015?

I would be terrible at ranking these kids because some of them don't play pg now.. But most likely will at the next level.  But I do love Mckennon and mike Williams.   I also think Atkinson and Tayvon Ginyard are really good as well.  Then you have kids like Newkirk and Desure Buie who should be point guards.   I'm sure I'm forgetting kids. But the only sure thing pg to me is Mckennon .

Hell no lol.  If you are unhappy with Phil at the point .. Then u will get the same feeling if Carrington played there.   Fwiw I feel the same about Whitehead .

Ok so he's another undersized 2. Can he score?  Create own shot?  Shoot from deep?

No he has good size.  I made the comparison to Phil meaning he is a 2 who shouldn't be playing the 1.   He shoots it ok and can get his own shot now.  I'm not sure how his lefty hop step stuff will play in college.  If you honestly ask me I will be in the minority and say he is good.. But not good enough.

You are welcome .. And I can very well be wrong ( happens often). But it's just my opinion after seeing him play a number of times.

He most certainly can lol.  If this is the offense we plan on running... Then the staff needs to recruit more shot makers instead of athletes. D'angelo has it.. A kid like Myles Mack has it.. Neither are great athletes .. But we could use more kids like that.  They are out there to be had .

Why aren't they playing PG?  I saw some Loughlin videos on YouTube and Williams wasn't starting. Names you mentioned like Ginyard, Buie and Williams don't seem to have big names on them.  Out of the '14 PG's is Newkirk worth a BE scholarship? CJ Davis?  Anyone in Jersey for the '14 class?  I've heard great about McKennon as well but just wondering about '14 if there are options at all?

Williams starts and I believe is the leading scorer on Loughlin. .. And I don't think any of them are big east kids right now with the exception of Mckennon.  I'm sure jersey has some 14 options .. But I haven't seen any this year.  I still think we look elsewhere for 14' and 15'

Mike Williams starts for loughlin but is more mid major, can't forget about 6'6 pg Marvin prochet  from boys and girls, CJ Davis is big east good on some days and some days he's not, forget 14' and 15' though the studs are in 16' devonte green is the next biggest thing coming out IMO along with ray salnave at Cardozo. Chris Atkinson is overrated and 17 years old I like his backcourt mate Tim quashie more.

B&G kids scare the heck out of me.  Are they ever eligible?
