How is Kevin Jones not unanimous?

One coach didn't vote for him.

How is Kevin Jones not unanimous?

My thoughts exactly.

Harrison finishes 3rd in bigeast play in scoring and doesnt even make honorable mention?
*wipes ketchup from his eyes* - I guess Heinz sight isn’t 20/20.

Would the way Harrison carries himself on the court come into play?

West Virginia's Bryant shot 36% and was 3rd Team.

And he was the only person defenses keyed on.  The kid couldn't get a inch.

I love Harrison but he takes a ton of bad shots. If he can improve his shot selection some more he's going to be awesome. What he's done for a freshman is very very impressive. Harrison is who he is personality wise and I think thats what makes him who he is. I'd take a guy like him on my team any day of the week and I'd hate to face him.

I love everything about him too but I'm wondering if him being a 'you know what' made coaches not vote for him.

Fans might not but coaches have a lot of respect for him.

Kid is obviously dangerous from downtown, draws fouls and passes better than most. With maturity, he will learn to embrace time and situation more. That said, can't teach heart and tenacity. Kid has those attributes.

I'll take Harrison every day and twice on Sunday.  I wouldn't trade him for anybody.  Love that fire.  He made the all rookie team.  He would have made others if we were a better team overall.  He has a few years to do it, so no worries.  I'd add that it has to be good for our recruiting to have two SJU kids on the All Rookie team.

I can't argue against the fact that maybe him being a "you know what" may have cost him a vote or two....but I love that about Harrison, and wouldn't change him one bit!!  I give him more respect for him playing with that fire inside him!

Won't get that argument from me.  Love every bit of it too.  Makes him all the more enjoyable to watch.  But there are some dbag coaches who I'm sure don't appreciate his style and might have shafted him.

It's all politics.

Harrison is the one kid on our team that coaches know they have to stop.  Every player on the court knows where he is at all times--our guys, because if he gets an inch they get him the ball--and their guys, for the same reason.  The poor kid must think his name is "Shooter" after the hundreds of times kids point at him and yell shooter to notify their teammates of his constant whereabouts.

He brings it every second of every game and, as much as I love him, I can't say the same about Moe.  Brandon Rush was a first team Big 12 selection as a frosh, and I feel Harrison should have been no lower than third.  Ridiculous.

Don't understand how Harrison dosent at least make honorable mention. Every coach in the conference had thier game plan against st johns this season geared to key in on him, and even through all the double teams and added pressure this freshman still ends conference play 3rd in scoring. You don't have to love him but at least respect his game.
