^^^ On the gun i've seen him in the 90s. I know its just an open gym with no defenders in his face but that is extremely impressive imo

90% when you shoot over 500 is almost too good to believe.  That is remarkable

@maxthehooper just tweeted
It is going to rain 3's when the Red Storm come to town

I've been waiting a long time for this to come true. Welcome to St. John's!

90+% shooting college 3's on 500 shots is absurdly good.  I know he isn't guarded here, but that's a kid you can't leave alone on the court.  He has a high release too and I've seen him get the shot off while guarded a ton of times.  He'll help us for sure.  This is a seriously dangerous shooter.  Good passing can get him plenty of open looks.

Why wasn't he getting any playing time at Harvard?    You'd think his athleticism (or lack of). Would be less of an issue against ivy league opponents.

How could he play that much bad D in 4 minutes for the entire season?  How could they possibly make that judgement?

Fans on the Harvard message boards are basing this on assumptions from Harvard practices?  I know he's not quick enough to be a lockdown guy, but the sample size of info on his defense is really minute.

I have no idea how they could make that assumption on 2 minutes of non exhibition action.

Good point.  Bottom line for me is I trust Lavin's judgment on this one, even though it seems to be counterintuitive (at least for me) to expect a player who did not get off the bench at Harvard to come to SJU next year and be a contributor, regardless of how the staff uses him.

Correct.
This is a post from that board:

No doubt the kid can shoot it. And St. John's is a little more zone oriented, if I remember correctly.

If you can hide him on defense, he can be an offensive asset. But he's not going to last long on the floor if you go man, which is what Harvard predominantly runs.
