The best TV series ever created for all demographics ended last night, who watches?
Attack basketball, pressure defense, 40 minutes of hell ... Early on it might be 30 minutes of hell, then 10 minutes of what the hell are you doing?"

Thats a show I have to get on dvd and check out bc i heard so many great things. I did the same for prison break and got hooked on that although the writers strike really put a strangle hold on that show.

Just watched the whole series in 3 weeks! Absolutely loved it. Each season had it's own dynamic but I will say that the first was definitely the best. What a cast! Just starting Oz this week.

That first season could have been its own show in itself.
Favorite character tony?

McNulty was great, played so many different roles.

I'd go with Lieutenant Cedric Daniels. Man could that guy stare the devil in the eye and deliver a speech.

Make sure to watch again in about a year. I assure you you'll notice another 50 things in a second viewing, finding a few more allegories along the way.

My two favorite allegories - Omar as a "flawed" Robin Hood & McNulty/Brodie chess discussion in the park (great tie in to Bodie's character progression, similarities between McNulty/Bodie)

Finished about a month ago. Awesome show. Noticed all of HBO and showtime shows are on demand from Verizon . Sleeper cell is really good from showtime, if you haven't seen it.

Bodie was such a good character! He had a cameo in the first episode of The Night Of, HBO's latest mini series.

If you have HBO, you can get the entire series on HBO-GO.  No cost for subscribers.

Favorite character early on was definitely D'Angelo Barksdale.  Dee was the man.  Had a soul.
