Just a point of clarification espn3 is not broadcast by any of the cable providers.  It is programing available on your computer or mobile device through the watchespn app.  A lot of time games will be broadcast on both espnu and espn3 but sometimes programming is just available on espn3, like tonight.  So if you are trying to find a tv with it on it is going to happen unless someone is streaming it from a laptop to a tv

I'm not 100% sure, but I am fairly certain that you can watch ESPN3 on your TV through XBox Live. If you subscribe.  They often have 1 month free trials as well.  I think it only comes in standard definition.

There are other ways to stream to your TV through your PC as well.  You can set up you TV to be a monitor for your PC if your video card supports the TV resolution.

That is correct. Other blu ray players with wireless sometimes can also access the content.

Probably not. Type first row sports:  St. John's v. Murray State into google and watch from link.

Guys I think I may have found a decent work around if you do not have ESPN3. Basically, all major universities have ESPN3 access when you are logged onto their network. In order to make it look like you are logged onto their network you will need to download a "VPN Client" form the university which will allow you to connect to their network using a university access account User ID and Password. So start hitting up all the college kids you know who go to big university's to get their UserID and Passwords, then search i.e. Penn State VPN client in google, download the client then you should be good to go. Lemme know if anyone has any luck. I will have to wait to get home to test as I do not want to try on my work laptop.

Right now I am watching the Baylor-Colordo game on ESPN3 with cabelvision, so it does work. Interestingly, I flipped on ESPNU and the computer version is actually 10 seconds ahead of the TV. Usually its the other way around.

Read above... espn3 isn't a channel cable companies broadcast. I.e., espn3 is not a channel on Time Warner.

Check your PC.  Go to http://espn.go.com/watchespn/index  Try to watch anything that is live right now.  If you can watch stuff, then you are good unless they black it out.

With XBOX, you need to have it connected to the internet, and have a subscription to XBOX live.  If you are gonna sign up for a free trial, be aware, it probably takes like 30 minutes to type everything in, and get it straightened out.  On top of that, they auto bill you after 30 days, unless you go in and cancel it.

Did you select cablevision as the provider or Optimum? I don't see Cablevision as an option thats why I ask...

It doesn't ask for your information if you are a cable internet user.

It automatically works if you have Cablevision internet provider. You don't have to sign in.

Try if this link works: http://espn.go.com/watchespn/player/_/source/espn3/id/639714/

It should say powered by optimum:

Yes, I just went to espn3.com and clicked on a live game. It automatically works. No prompt necessary. In the past it asked what your provider was and i could not get on bc cabelvision wasnt a usable option. This time the game opened and i was watching without any further work.

if im on xbox live right now and it is allowing me to watch the ufc weigh in and stuff does that mean the game should be available when it starts? I see it in the upcoming games section, sorry, havent ever used espn 3 before as it was always blocked as a cablevision user.
