The economics of BB at a top level are expensive if you want to compete.  Look at what we paid Norm versus what we pay Coach Lav.  Is the school supposed to subsidize ticket prices to upgrade the coaching which will then upgrade the recruiting which will then result in a winning program.  I don't think so.  you want the best you have to pay for it and watch it develop.  If you think these prices are high look at Providence and see the ticket costs and the mandatory donation to be made to buy them. If you do this on the cheap--you get the "norm's" of basketball; not something I ever want to see again.

Not like it would have been bursting from the rafters either way.  I know if I don't get gas tomorrow I won't be able to go.  All this stuff sucks no doubt about it.

Yes playing rutgers or an equivalent team will only bring in 2/3 's on a good night to the garden. Usually less. Again I am a big fan- but only me- friends and family will come to the game as long as I am paying.
I had season tickets the last 2 years- it was really nice not worrying about things- but it is expensive- .
Also it is very easy to find seats down low, not even the slightest hassle for most games

Moose, Ct. Is fine for gas. Wilton, Westport, Darien, etc. Really not so far from you in Westchester.

I work in Stamford.  I heard that Darien down the street was only 5 cars this am.  Going to check mid afternoon.

Face value 130 dollars 2 tickets for great seats vs rutgers at the garden. I can take my dad or a friend. Plus beer and dinner. 200 dollar plus night.
Or scalp 10 dollar tickets find even better seats and have same expirence. To get me to come back as season ticket holder they are going to have upgrade their schedule ( don't mind paying for cuse, duke) or lower prices.

I was online looking at tix for the holiday festival and was shocked at ticket prices. Are people really paying 200+ to see this tourny?

In the rumble article he mentions that Sonoma state is a practice opponent and not a "challenge" like Carleton u of Canada.  Well just to elucidate a bit, Carleton wasn't supposed to be a challenge.  I heard that Villanova was awful vs Carleton, shooting 15% from the outside.  Also heard that Ryan Arcidiacono was atrocious, shooting 1-11 from field with 2 assists.  Many nova fans questioning whether he's more than a backup at this level.  Carleton is not any sort of real test any more than Sonoma state.

In other news, I heard Uconn was also pretty bad in their exhibition vs AIC and was down at the half.  They have zero frontcourt.

We will not be finishing the season below some of these teams.  Not a chance.

hey I'll pay market price for the gas :)

We actually might be having a friend actually come from connecticut tomorrow with 2 full 5 gallon gas tanks so we can get home. Not really sure I want to go home though unless I can get those tanks refilled for the new generator

You're getting greedy now.  "Market price involves waiting hours in line for gas, travel to Bronx, tolls and gas burned.  You're market price is probably at least 10$ per gallon all things considered ;-)

PS Id come get you buy can't get any damn gas here any way.
I'm hoping to make it to Sonoma State and tomorrow is anniversary ;-)

“@STJ_Basketball: O. Sanchez, M. Bourgault will not participate tonight as both await separate eligibility rulings from NCAA regarding classification. #stjbb”

Assume petitioning for additional year for each, three for Marco, two for Sanchez.
