In the spirit of Election Day, is the SJU basketball program better off than four years ago? Yeah, we have had some bumps in the road under Lavin, but come on!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone who says otherwise should be drug tested immediately.

We're on the verge of a perennial top 25 team.  If and when Sanchez and Bourgault are cleared, I think we'll spend some time there this year and make the tourney.  Our roster is loaded with top 65 kids.  This is the start of are Renaissance for SJU.  Anybody who says different is crazy.

Was wondering if our coaching staff is tight crew. Any of you fellows got a handle on that?

if first impressions mean anything, i think we're going to finish above sh, rutgers, nova, depaul, uconn, and providence as a bare minimum.  i think we'll fininsh anywhare between 5th and 8th this year.  keep in mind that the core of this team will be intact for two more years after this. i think we will be somewhere in the top three when all is said and done.  so yes, we're better.

Two of the Assistants are former players at ucla and long time friends in Martin and Hines.  Chiles our local recruiting guru.  Keady a former coach and mentor of Lavin.  I'd say they are as tight as can be, if that's what you mean.

MC, thats great, thanks. I figure for SJU hoops to get where all on this board
want, it is going to take some time. Knowing staff is all in it together makes me feel it will happen, and no doubt projects great to future recruits.
