Im not mad at the team at all. They did everything they needed to win. No team can play 5 on 7 (refs and fans). DLo did everything to get three freethrows to tie that game even throughout it all. On to the next one.

Can't blame the refs.  We had plenty of opportunities.  Some poor shot selection, carelessness with the ball,  and lack of hustle getting back on D and extending to their 3 pointer shooters did us in the last 5 minutes.

tough loss. Should of won the game, move on and learn from it boys. We need someone else to step up at the end. DLO cant do it all himself. At the end of the game is when experience plays a huge factor. They had the experience and they executed at the end. We don't and we looked terrible. Beat Baylor on Sunday and this is a good trip

Thats bs. When refs cost you around 20 or so points and let two teams play very different games, you can. I almost never blame the refs, but this was bad.

This aint on the refs this is on us. Refs were bad all around not just on us. We had plenty of opportunities but didn't take advantage of it.

Save-  Are you saying the 3 things I pointed out did not happen?  The refs sucked, I agree.  Not why we lost. We were up 13 in the second half and fell apart.  Come on.

Experience won at the end.  It was our game to lose and we did.  Refs were awful which doesn't help, but needed a strong last 5 at both ends and didn't get it.  How could they let Daniels flop all over like that though?  Players should get techs for those.

Our half court offense looked atrocious in the second half.   Yes, D'angelo scored 27 tonight, but he needs to drive with his head up because he's drawing 2 and 3 defenders and there are teammates open.

Also, we turned the ball over too many times to win.   Yea, the refs screwed us, but you can't make the mistakes we did and win.

We didn't deserve to win.   Our first half lead should have been 10-15.   And down the stretch we looked tired and unsure what to do offensively.

I think a day off will be very beneficial for this team.   We've played a lot of basketball this week already.

Our youth reared it's head a bit.  We just lost to not only a top 25 program but one that went 3 rounds in last year's ncaa's.  We could have easily won this one if we has a little bit more consistency over the course of a few more minutes.  Proud of how we showed.  Would have liked to win, but we can make up for it with a win against Baylor.  We are going to be very, very good this season though, and with more wars like this one, we'll gain a ton of valuable experience.

Agreed.  The two runs, one in the 1st half and the other in the 2nd half, cost them dearly.  But you can see where a little more consistency and some improvement overall will turn a close loss like this now into a win later in January and February.

I really like this team's potential.  Don't like to lose at all but plenty of time and opponents to make up for it.

Crazy part of it Fordham is that we're still missing 2 potential starting caliber players in Sanchez and Branch.  In addition, Bourgault came late today and Balamou even showed he can really play. If we get Sanchez cleared, I dont think there are many teams we can't match up with.  We could make a deep run.  Really want a winover Baylor here.

You replace Christian Jones with an accomplished and superior offensive player in Sanchez and this team is going to be really, really good. Like top 15 good.

How can anyone say the refs cost us this game?  STJ couldn't convert on offense, left Murray's shooters wide open all second half, and that STUPID inbounds pass that they intercepted.  The refs missed a few flops, big deal.  STJ sucked it up to end...very tough loss but this is a young squad that will be beating Murray State by 20 in March.

They did but can you really argue the fact that if the refs were half as competent we wouldn't have easily won that game?
