Karr has to stop trying to break down defenders from a stand still position.  He can break down in full stride and transition but not facing up his defender and starting from scratch.  1 offensive foul and couple TO's I believe from that.

I see what you're getting at, but I think it is more of a spacing problem.  I want to see Sampson take PF's off the bounce if the court is properly spaced and he can get a step on them.  He has to be able to recognize these spots and not force them.  When he doesn't get his man by a step, he has to gain control and either dish or pull it out.  He has to be aware that if gets by his man the help will come from down low and there will be a man waiting by the basket--as every coach teaches their players to do when they lose their defender. 

We are such a sloppy team right now, but the potential this season is incredible.  There are not a lot of PF's that can stay with Sampson in space.

Late 2nd half we resembled an Nba offense.  D'lo playing like Iverson, head down looking to go one on one and score while 4 guys stood around and watched.

I think this is the key.  The team and D'angelo are successful when he doesn't have to do it all.  The offense in the 2nd half was awful.  No one made hard cuts, no one set a hard screen and no one other than Harrison wanted to shoot the ball when the game got close. 

Where was Bourgault at the end of the game when we needed a 3?  MS knew Harrison was gonna get the ball, couldn't we have one other shooting option on the floor?  You flew him down there to play a few minutes in the first half?  This team needed some offense for the last 10 minutes of the game.

You really wanna a playa who had exactly 5 mins of D1 experience on the floor at the end?

Well with hindsight of course.  And I understand your point.  But he did play JC for two years.  It still is, shoot the ball like you have done thousands of times before.  And at least if he is on the floor, Murray State has to account for him.  They are not going to play off him like they would with someone they know isn't gonna shoot it.  I would think that these are the moments you would really want him in the game.  It is not like at this point that any of the younger guys have more than a few games experience anyway.  He is a Junior, and maybe the oldest guy on the team as it currently stands.  And I have no plans to quit my day job either

I will always remember that Hardy to Brownlee backdoor play from 2011. One of the better memories I have as a St. Johns fan. That season was full of them.

Yes, our guys were being played tonight man-to-man in both the Murray State and Detroit games.  We DID have guys running back cuts but some of our ball handlers didn't seem comfortable throwing the pass.  Absolutely something for our guys to work on and something that comes with experience and confidence.    Definitely a good observation and one that I've also tweeted about during the 2 games.
