Hope springs eternal before they step on the court. So, let's take some guesses. Educated or not.

I don't see him as an elite player like Boo, Mark Jackson, or Barkley. I also am not sure he matches the contributions of Buchanan but that seems like a logical comparison.

Going forward, I could care less about anything that Branch does other than assists and defending the opposing point guard.

Let's see how much better our other players are and whether our half court set looks better,

Haven't seen him play but I am one of the Jason Buchanon comparers. He's not a scorer like Hatten, Hardy or Jackson. Lets hope he's arounds longer than Omar or Lindsey. If we look back years from now and agree he was another Barkley, then its all good.

Go get'em Mr. Branch!

Not looking for him to score, but dishing and "D" are where I think he will make a difference. Gives us another (so it is said) top defender-allowing more defensive pressure. We will know pretty soon.

I don't think idiot is the right word. I prefer evil.

It is only Tuesday and already we have dueling Branch threads. I think this reaches its fever pitch on Friday Morning culminating with someone reporting what he had for breakfast and whether he wears boxers or briefs. Then like a bad Get Smart episode someone will follow him to the game on Friday hiding behind shrubs and mailbox's. The game will arrive and..... branch will play 5 minutes. This will be directly followed  by 10,000 posts on how much Branch sucks.
If the above sounds familar it is becuase that is how the Marco eligibility process around here played out.
Looking forward to it!

Strongly disagree here..

He was not the most pleasant kid in the world but he was not a bad kid. He had an extremely overbearing Mother who put an enormous amount of pressure on him from a very young age. The kid was a very good basketball player and made a very bad decision to leave school early.

If he had stayed another year he might have been an All American as a Sophomore.

To add Omar hated Jarvis.  One of the primary reasons he left was they couldn't co-exist.

Who wouldn't want to play for Mike Jarvis?

Grant, Artest, Postell, Bootsy and Barkley seemed to enjoy doing so.

I understand the anger and I am not here to defend him, but again was the coach for the most fun team we have ever had and I was around for the Final Four team. So for my list of worst coaches in history of the program(everything included) Jarvis falls behind Norm,  Mahoney and probably Fran

It was a really fun team to watch. But the chemistry came from the fact the Erick, Ron and Jessie all played on the same AAU team for years
