Can we keep it rolling?
When you're a kid from New York and you do it in New York, that lasts forever!

Oliver Purnell obviously had a difficult rebuilding job when he took the DePaul job.

I can tell you one player that could have really helped is Shane Larkin.  Kid has been terrific at Miami and I feel bad for DePaul because he not only originally signed with them he was briefly enrolled.

I'll add though that IMO Purnell's style isn't matched for their depth and talent level.  It's spreading them too thin.  Thy are trying to run and press which is nice, but I don't think they have the quality throughout to do that.  They looked tired last game with all the pressing early.  I think Purnell is a solid coach, but maybe not the right style at DePaul. They need something different there.  Isn't there a mick Cronin-type DePaul blue-blood out there to groom?   It's a toughg job.  The coach has to be even tougher.

That's ok. Save the goodies for the students. If they don't show up after this, I give up .

9:00 pm start here is only 8:00 pm Chicago time.  That may give Depaul the advantage if our guys are sleepier.  ;)

No complaints here about Johnnies! Ouch!

“@ECoastBias: Pointed out on the DePaul message boards - DePaul is 6-72 over the last 4+ seasons in Big East league play. Wowsers.”

Yeah think about it, they had an 0-18 season and a 1-17 season back to back.  Think about that, 1-35 over two seasons.  Other then 0-36 you can't do worse then 1-35.

In fact they brought back Jerry Wainwright after the 0-18 season ('08-'09) only to fire him in January of the following season ('09-'10) before they proceeded to go 1-17.
