Depaul Game (Home) - Player of the Game
« on: January 31, 2013, 12:28:35 AM »
this was a close call for me, but I'm going with Dom for two reasons...
1)  Without him we get absolutely destroyed on the boards.   We were already out-rebounded by 10, without him it would've been much worse.
2)  He was efficient.   Only scored 11pts, but he did it in just 5 shots.  Greene and Sampson took 15 shots each to get roughly the same amount of points.

And he made clutch free throws in over time.    So Dom it is for me

Greene kept us in the game with some clutch shooting and stepped up when Harrison went down. Close second was Pointer who had double double and plays with a ferocity that is just fun to watch.

Dom was the man, but it really was an all-around team effort win.  BTW, second game in a row that Dom has hit that 3 from the near side.  Could be his sweet spot.

Dom may or may not of been the player of the game, but he damn sure was the player of the overtime!

Dom was the player of the game IMO. Greene played well as off guard tonight. He played defense, made free throws, jumpers and converted drives. I am thrilled with any w, but I was frustrated watching so much standing around in the second half and in OT. Our guys don't move on offense.

Even w almost no talent, DePaul hustles and moves around on offense. I give them credit for playing hard for 45 minutes.
Carnesecca Arena was rocking tonight. It was nice to have some stars in the house as well. Wayne McCoy, Jayson Williams, Charles Oakley & John Franco. Speaking of, where the hell has Frank Viola been?

Jakarr gets my vote. Scored all baskets in ot when dlo was out....almost lost my vote on the near steal...dom could've won as well.

I'm not sure he scored  once after Harrison went down.

I think you're right about that sweet spot.

Didn't you leave out Eugene Lawrence?  I am pretty sure you have posted about him 3x more than any other player, even your boyfriend Larry.

Pointer. He's one of those players (e.g., DLo) whose switch is turned on when the game can go either way.

They both hate to lose and will do anything to avoid that happening.

My kinda players.

Dom. He does everything. His offense is really improving. We played well as a team, balanced scoring and players contributed in multiple ways.

The Triangle.  Our arctic tempature low like 5 turnovers were the key to the victory and his 43 minutes without one were the catalyst.
