UCONN game prediction

the lenn robbins article this morning stated that only 8000 tickets have been sold? that is sad. i will be there tonight but hopefully tonight's crowd will be more st. john's  than uconn

I bet it will be much more than that by game time.  Not expecting a massive crowd by any means but 11-12k I'd think we can draw here.  Robbins said that at the beginning of the week 8k were sold.  Don't know if he means Sunday or Monday, but I have no doubt there will be plenty of uconn fans and SJU fans buying tickets since then.  Crowd will be fine methinks, even if it's not 18k.

People like myself and a few buddies are waiting until later this afternoon to grab tickets online (trying to round up as many guys as I can before actually purchasing the tickets).

Not sure if we win or lose, I think the injury to Branch really makes this game a toss-up.

But I can make the following BOLD predictions...

- Greene takes 15+ shots
- Harrison makes a FG
- Jakarr takes 5+ forced jump shots
- Obekpa misses at least 2 free throws
- Marco stands in a corner for at least 15 seconds
- Amir misses a layup
- Dom fouls someone 50 feet from the basket
- Felix and CJ play no more than 2 minutes at a time
- Someone on this board begs for Gift to remove the "redshirt"
- Someone on this board asks if Orlando is eligible yet
- Someone on this board will ask where Jim Calhoun is
- Someone on this board will ask if Omar Calhoun is related to Jim
- Someone on this board will bring up the fact that we didn't land Omar Calhoun
- Some goon like Niels Giffey will have a career day
- There will be at least 5 "U!-C!-O!-N!-N! UCONN, UCONN, UCONN!" chants from the Yukon faithful
- St. John's fans will remind said Yukon fans that "at least our team can play in the BET"

Despite all these things happening, I say we pull it out in the end with D'Angelo leading the way.

Programs like Uconn not only destroyed us during our darkest times but they have benefitted significantly from our poor basketball efforts over a long period.

This is a hugely important game. It's a rivalry game like no other IMO.
They are down now. We just kick them harder than ever before.

I see Phil and Dee having big games tonight at least on offense.

The key I think though is whether Garrett, Dom, and Jakarr can put some points on the board.

5-17 shooting 13 points 2 asst 1 to and 4 circles-Carmine will be ecstatic with that line and some others will claim he played well and even get some votes as player of the game

  It should work.  Great opportunity. I wish my wife wasn't away on business, or I'd be all over it.  I predict 12k...

  Really would like a victory tonight.  Their guards scare me though.  I can picture wide open 3 pointers left and right.  Hope our defense comes to play and Dom avoids the ticky-tack fouls.
