That 3 by Atkins hurt. Great half though. Our D is great. Just need to find enough points on the other end

Remember Phil 3-8 in first half. Can he avoid drought in second half or at least take less shots?  BTW, I know we can't shoot, but we must finish around the rim. Too many point blank lay ups missed.

An or lose, Lavin owns Mike Grey's Notre Dame teams.  I think the strategy is spot on.  We are playing well overall.  Anybody forget we are missing the 3rd leading scorer in the Big East and our startin SG?  This game gets won with defense and defensive boards.  Keep scoring the way we are and we win.

Just goes to show that you play good attacking defense and not get out-rebounded you can play tight with most teams - even with not shooting the ball all that well.

We seem to rebound well against them---out-quicking them to the ball

I don't want Marquette coming out with a vengeance on Saturday.  I hope they best that dirtbag big 10 team.  I'm pretty sure they will.  Rutgers will have a hard time sustaining.

We have a hard time sustaining ourselves. Just can't see ND shooting 28% in second half.

They shot worse last game didn't they? At least from the outside they did.  We are doing it with defense.  I don't deny that this is stacked against us, but it's as "must-win" as it is.  Can't cry in our soup because we have no Harrison.  Gotta keep doing it.  Lavin does it a lot vs Notre dame.  Hopefully we continue.

Win or lose, Lavin owns Mike Brey's Notre Dame teams.  I think the strategy is spot on.  We are playing well overall.  Anybody forget we are missing the 3rd leading scorer in the Big East and our starting SG?  This game gets won with defense and defensive boards.  Keep scoring the way we are and we win.

All the more reason to get them into the new conference :)

Watch how quickly the refs blow their whistles in the second. I'm sensing a lot of fouls.

I wouldn't mind, but only if they planned on staying and keeping football independent.

Would be nice to see the refs call ND for a foul. Please?

Missing way too many easy looks. Should be up 10+ right now. Gonna cost us the game

It blows me away how the refs let us play football for the entire game, and then call a foul like the one they just called against Branch.
