I won't blame the game on the referees because when you turn the ball over like they did its nobody's fault but ur own but still this could have been the worst called game I have ever watched there was no consistency in the calls and the  no call when Marco was shoved to the ground during the in bound pass was horrible and was the momentum killer

Really ????
Did you think I would try to deny our relation if you didn't include it in your name??

I don't get why everyone is so surprised the loss. Without Harrison and with a branch hobbled we have no one who can create in the half court or present a consistent threat from the outside. This isn't the MAAC - Villanova is a legit Ncaa team that beat numerous teams ranked in the top 10 this year. They play good D and when Yarou is hitting shots from the outside tonight we are going to lose without D-Lo and a hobbled Branch.

After Marquette game, without Pointer, wouldn't you expect SJU to compete tonight. Imo, we played exceptionally poor. Wasn't surprised by a loss, but disgusted with our performance. Color it as you wish.

Branch did not look "hobbled". Same issues we have had all year. can you come up with any more excuses for a pitiful performance.

+100000000 Being a young Johnnies fan, it gets tiring having to hear stories from before you were born. It becomes tiring being told "well we used to be great" when all we have seen is failure. The truth is, if you were born in say 1987 or later, SJ has been absolutely pathetic while you have been a fan. And then you have the older guys wondering why the younger fans see no hope. Kinda hard when making the tourney alone seems like too hard of an accomplishment. New York is a "what have you done for me lately" city. Either do stuff NOW or fall into irrelevancy. SJ is doing the latter.

Quite the opposite-I am an older fan wondering why the younger fans are always so optimistic.

Surprising reference by Coach,lol

“@VinParise: Steve Lavin: "Our young team reminds me of Villanova the past 2 years...molding a young bunch of guys for future success & postseason play."”

Coach is reaching there a little - nova is led by archidiacAno a frosh and two sophs Pinkston and Hillard.
The last 2 years they've been led by Wayans and Cheek, who left abruptly.
Can't really say Nova is a team that has been growing the past two seasons.

Btw, JJ meet my little bro Andrew aka descoa.
Andy, welcome to the jungle.

True, and Yarou and Sutton are upperclassmen.
I guess I just don't really see the comparison between us and Nova the past two seasons.

But, losing Harrison (if it happens) isn't all that different from them losing cheek/wayans.   If we were to sign a hotshot pg, aka Jordan, then I'd definitely see it  8)

Btw, was Harrison at the game tonight?

I almost can't wait to get rid of Greene, Harrison, Garrett, Jones, and a few other guys from that class. Hopefully with our next class we get BASKETBALL players who know how to find the bottom of the net.

Well for one, those guys have at least 2 years left, Jones has 3.  So you might need some patience.

But I can see where you're coming from; Harrison and Greene are definitely not basketball players.   It's true.    :idiot2:
